In this Context 1.04 means 2.0 as well.

Boy this was a dumb question I should have reread post 1 ;)

moin moin kaleun's

this is a really great mod. thanks for sharing this piece of work.
-"tja, gute leute muss mann haben, gute leute"-

but i have one question. is it normal, that the light in the "navimap-view" doesn't change?
i mean, before i install that mod, the light changes from day- to redlight and so on...now i have only daylight, no matter what time it is.
what can i do, to get this "changing-effect" back?

thanks, haddock

looney 12-09-07 01:56 PM

Yups, OLC doesn't like the change ( I forgot why, read this thread). there is a mod wich does change

Haddock 12-09-07 05:49 PM

aah, i got it, thanks looney.
ok, now i have to choose: only daylight or only redlight.
hmm, is there an option to get it both?

OLC, I understand you have had other things on your mind (hope your dad's feeling better), I was just wondering if there was any word on GWX2 compatibility, whether you are working on it or not. Not trying to pressure you, it's just that if it's not going to happen before xmas I'll probably stick with GWX1.03 and finish my patrol - I've had the game a couple of months now and never completed a patrol cos I couldn't wait to install this mod and now I can't do without it!

Also, I'm quite happy to help with beta testing if it's needed.

Hope you're well!

Has anyone tryed using it with GWX 2.0 as is. Maybe it will work? Im tempted to try it.

It doesn't work with GWX2.0, I got CTD.

Paco.

Thanks Paco

The thing that makes it crash in GWX 2.0 is the contents of the Sea folder. For some reason that I have not been able to discern, the old cfg files with the doubled mast values make GWX2.0 crash.
You can remove the sea folder from the mod, and play without the doubled mast values. You just have to remember to double the values in your head when playing the game.

oh, thanks for the info, Boris.

I will test it at home this afternoon

Hi people,

I'm wrapped up in another game at the moment and I'm not playing SH3 at all. I'm sure I'll return to it at some point but in the meantime if anyone else wants to take my mod and make it GWX2-compatible (and do whatever else with it) please go ahead. The main thing (probably the only thing) that needs doing to make the mod compatible with GWX2 is to re-do the contents of the mod's Roster folder IIRC.

My dad seems to be recovering quite well, considering. Thanks to those who wrote messages/PMs of support, there's some very thoughtful people here. :)

OLC

Edit: cross posted with Boris. Yes, that sounds right... the "sea" folder, not "roster".

Maybe someone from the GWX team can help us make it GWX2-compatible, or:-?

bboyer66 12-10-07 10:03 AM

This is the best mod of its type out there. If I had the slightest clue in what I was doing, I would make it GWX 2.0 compatible. Someone please do it.

cuervo111 12-10-07 10:18 AM

If the only thing that must be done to make it GWX2 compatible is to double the mast values in the sea folder, a little program could be made to automatically change the files.

It shouldn't take long. If someone can confirm that would be useful I could do it myself and we may have OLC for GWX2 in a couple of days.
