Thank you FOTRS Ulimate Team!!

To the Team, Thank you folks for all of your hard work on this project!! I downloaded the mod last night and performed a clean install with no other mods. Works great on my old pc, which is a Intel Core 2 duo CPU E6650 @ 2.33 GHz, 2 GB of memory and a Nvidia Geforce 8400GS graphic card. Started my career in a Porpoise, USS Pike. Left out of Pearl Harbor on December 10, 1941. Mission was anti shipping in the Marshall Islands for five days. First thing noticed on the navigation map, there wasn't any friendly ports shown went an anchor and my home port, Pearl Harbor didn't have a tilted Anchor symbol. Continue to assigned patrol area. Sonar reported an warship contact but when I went to the Sonar Station, all I could hear was the sound of our engines. Torpedoes could be heard from the sonar when fired. Spotted the enemy warship at bearing of 269 degrees while at periscope depth. I went back to the sonar station and no other sound could be heard except our engines when rotating the dial. Later sonar reported another enemy warship while on the surface. Contact was close enough for a visual after a few moments. When to the TBT to get a better look, but it wouldn't rotate pass 260 degrees or to the starboard side pass 100 degrees. Both periscopes rotated and zoomed from low to high without any problems. At the end l, could not end the patrol when we arrived at home port of Pearl Harbor. once again, my hat off to the team for the hard work put into this project. :Kaleun_Salute:

The bridge TBT is set like that on purpose, as a visibility restriction, simulating a real boat's restriction. The sensors are just now getting worked on, and will need some refinement for sure for certain. We are in the process of finishing a possible NavalBases fix, but we'll def have to check its functionality yet. Thanks for the good level of detail in your report Larrywb57. Excellent. Thanks for the thanks also!

Well guys. Damned waiting. Ahahaha just kidding. Take your time. For the rest like i sad your mod is maybe the best for sh4. Not joking. Its ECCELLENT!
A last question: ending whats wrong about naval bases?

propbeanie 11-30-16 01:33 PM

I'm not 100% certain, but like you found, they are missing both dates lines and the tactical line. I'm about finished with the editing (very boring stuff having to go through each unit individually), so I'm on my last break from it, finish the editing, test it, and hopefully that's all that's wrong...

ArditoCorsaro 11-30-16 01:39 PM

I see. Meanwhile i prepare dinner. :D yes i guess is a boring stuff.

Which single mission were you attempting to play? Were the German voices coming from the mission or elsewhere?

Think he's referring to the "ambient" voice loop from Das Boot it sounds like.

I get them throughout the missions and regular cruising. One voice saying, "Good Morning Left tenant' and the same in a German accent talking about grease in his hair.

Ahh.........understood. I've heard it so much that I don't pay any attention any more. Must remember that this mod was made by modders who were mostly German. :D

ArditoCorsaro 11-30-16 02:25 PM

The fix for home ports is save game compatible? (i ask because meanwhile even i start a career.)

propbeanie 11-30-16 02:29 PM

The voices are part of the ambient sub sound file, which is quite long. I'll be making a sound mod, keeping most of that background, but cutting all voices out, in addition to other sounds from several other mods...

For now though, we've hit another brick wall here ArditoCorsaro. Neither patching in an old US_NavalBases file, nor editing in the old lines has worked just yet. I'm going back through my editing to make sure I didn't miss one or two, but this is strange. We had bases fine in last beta, and in the last "mix" before it went into the cauldron for release, so either I left the campaign on simmer too long, or something...
:wah::wah::06::06:

In order to avoid your untimely demise, don't go on campaigns just yet, since something like this can't be fixed mid-campaign anyway... Thankfully, there are all sorts of masterful cdrsubron7 Single Missions to enjoy...

ArditoCorsaro 11-30-16 02:37 PM

Seconded

I have started a few single player missions that at first glance look as if they load fine

However - as Propbeanie has said - the campaign is in need of a hotfix :03:

My PC is trying to update to W10, but without any success :/\\!!
