What kind of computer system do you have ArditoCorsaro? What version of Silent Hunter are you playing? How did you do your install of the mod?

When you say Pacific Fleet are you referring to Pearl or Midway?

ArditoCorsaro, did you by chance leave old game saves in your My Documents game folder? Or are you starting the mod completely new? If you don't use MultiSH, or delete the old saves, the old game settings end up in FotRS Ultimate, and that might influence things.

Looks great did single mission... sunk but fun. BUT not to fond of the german background voices how to remove them?

He have re-created this situation on our computers ArditoCorsaro. We're working on it. Have you tried to go to known Ports / Home Ports and tried to dock yet? Yes no box. Like if youre in a enemy port.
Have a new laptop, and never had problems about sh. (and i play very much it).
Sh 1.5, uboot mission. Windows 8.1. (never have problems with any games. Also sh work fine.).
If i dismount fotrs with jsgme and install another mod, it work fine.
Its when i mount fotrs that anchors disappear. (thats because i feared was a problem of my sh.but no.)
About saves: i have 2 sh installed. 1 for play. 1 for test..and the one with fotrs, the one for test, was without.saves.
I looked in us naval bases cfg: the american ports lack the entry: avaiabledate:1938 etx etc (i guess is so).
Instead the other mods.have it. But also adding this entry, no change.
I tried to manage with the mod, files, that could be on bases, etc.but nothing. (i have some experience. First rule of the modded games: should ever manage, mount, dismoynt, etx for check. Or if have a problem).
Anycase excellent mod.

I too am missing ports. I started a career in 1941 and Manila went away and left me portless. A clean install with the original cd.

I forgot how small the plotting instruments were! lol I couldn't read the compass rose, but I know later there will be bigger instruments mods and this is just for testing.

I haven't played SHIV for over a year maybe, and now the old tingly feeling is back! :yeah:

EDIT: Also I can't move the range dial past 1241. It stops there. weird.

Seems that nimitz decided to kick ass all our boats by the navy dont leaving a home port.

We'll have to do some quick testing, but I hope those dates are the only things missing, and that there isn't too much extra stuff... The bases file was not intentionally edited, but it was in the folder with all the other campaign files, and I must have done ~something~ on the 2nd of November to knock those dates out.

I tried to add this dates in the us maval bases cfg but is useless. The problem isnt only that i guess.

We have previous versions to copy the correct file from, so it's not a problem to fix. However, you were up to something important, and that still needs to be accomplished if you can reverse engineer what your purpose was!

There is always danger in editing campaign/mission files and we've had to do exactly that. It will be VERY worth it in the end.

In the meantime, pick the wrong mission and POOF! you're homeless!:D:up::D

For me work all fine. Museum (not controlled all ships ofc.) missions, campaigns, only this thing of the home ports gave problems.
