Pretty soon there will probably be a lot more councils following suit.

On the face of it it does make sense.
Between the recycling and composting there is a huge reduction in the overall amount going in to the black bins.
I notice they spot the obvious problem with diapers.
So the real question is, will making weekly collections to an ever changing number of individual houses cost more than they save with the switch to 3 weekly collections?

(1) Long-term unemployed people will have their benefits cut unless they visit a Job Centre every day, work for free or undertake training, under new rules which have now come into effect.

(2)The government says the new scheme - called Help to Work - is "absolutely not" intended to punish jobless people.

(1) How the hell visiting your job center everyday will help anyone back to work? My center has closed the job search machines! As for work for free I see charity shops have said sod off to the idea. Placing a person some where will cost money which the government has said there is no money for work placements or training!

(2) Call it what you want its still punishment and to continual to manipulate to true figures. Wages are going no where and more people are using food banks, even those in work are using them. The media make us look like a load of criminals. The biggest criminal in this country are the bloody banks and what is done about them? Sod sweet all.

I see RBS has stuck two fingers up to Osbourne by getting around the bonus ban..

So, Gerry Adams is a murderer and Jeremy Clarkson's a racist?

What next, David Cameron is Prime Minister?

Death to the Tory scum!

Now now STEED you can not say that, lets sit down with a hot cup of coco.

What planet is this guy on! A recovery built on low pay, zero hours contracts, consumer borrowing and an inflated housing market supported by laundered Russian money and subsidised mortgages...nothing more than a sham and a confidence trick which is bound to be exposed sooner or later. UK deficit untouched, city bonuses un-restricted ...pensioners savings plundered to restore Bank balances!

Jimbuna 05-03-14 05:15 AM

TBH I'm looking forward to the results of the Euro elections....could we witness the meltdown of a certain party? :hmmm:

Spot on quote..

Snip its from Mitch Feierstein blog, author of Planet Ponzi.

Quote:

George Osborne’s UK Budget He might as well claim that the budget will be balanced by fairies selling pixie dust to leprechauns.

Take the property markets first of all. We live in a time when “ghost gazumping” has become the new normal in the London property market (and will soon, surely, become common elsewhere)....

Despite a free-floating exchange rate, Britain’s manufacturing sector is 11 per cent smaller than it was in 2008 – a performance far worse than either Germany or the US. Our infrastructure spending is limp. Our science budget inadequate.....

The one concrete, lasting achievement of Mr Osborne’s term in office so far has been a thumpingly large increase in the national debt....

The simple fact is that Mr Osborne has failed to recalibrate the economy on any major count. He has failed to deliver his fiscal plans. The current growth spurt is based on the two false pillars of (unsustainable) consumer spending and an (ill-advised) property bubble. Manufacturing is weak. Capital investment, both public and private, is feeble. Our banks are still inadequately capitalised and do little to support the real economy. On none of these counts does Mr Osborne have a credible riposte....

The truth is, you can put lipstick on a pig but it will still oink like a pig and act like a pig. Mr Osborne can wield the make-up all he likes. All I can hear is the oinking....
Like that last bit, I think I will have that for my sig. :har:

Does anyone know what they are standing for?

BossMark 05-04-14 08:32 AM

Nigel Farage has vowed to expel any UKIP members with extremist views.

Their offices close tomorrow.

Which is funny as STEED just did a link to a party formed by someone who was expelled from UKIP for refusing to link up with extremist nuts.
