New proposals to fight tax evasion

Quote:

People who hide their money overseas to avoid paying tax face bigger fines and could be jailed more easily under government plans to fight tax evasion.

To prosecute at present, tax officials must prove a person holding income offshore has intended to evade tax.

But under a new criminal standard officials would only have to show money was taxable and undeclared.

Chancellor George Osborne said the changes would mean there was "no safe haven" for those evading tax.

Now your in trouble STEED....where are you going to hide your money now? :)

What money? I'm poorer than a church mouse.

More lies from the rich to make the everyday person think these people will be sorted out, yea yea yea.

Yawn...heard it all before jim its the same old hog wash year in year out.

The rich always get off with a feeble slap and as for bankers they operate above the law.

The law is a horses arse I have no faith in it anymore.

I think the problem I have is....it is all political parties that are more or less painted with the same brush.

Up the revolution.

Massive shake up of Westminster is needed and get these bastards doing what they should do, working for us. At the moment its us working for them and that is not democracy.

BTW: jim its another buy your vote guff, bloody tories should be outlawed for being prostitutes.

Why should you ordinary Brits not have the same advantage that your prime minister has?
His money comes from Close International Asset Management in Jersey, Blairmore Holdings Inc. in Panama, and Blairmore Asset Mangement in Geneva.:hmmm:

Cons 27%
Lab 20%
UKIP 20%
Lib 7%

Give or take +/- error by me.

Oberon 04-13-14 11:30 AM

That's 7% more than I'd have given the Lib Dems.... :hmmm:

Jimbuna 04-13-14 01:13 PM

I'm wondering if UKIP will turn out in the end deciding who they will be in coalition with :hmmm:

"Look how quickly our rating has jumped 1% at this rate we'll be outright election winners by this time tomorrow"

STEED 04-14-14 07:34 AM

I think I have found the poll to the one I put up and by the looks of it it was a EU voting poll last Sunday.
