IIRC the published minimum pc requirements are up from 1.4Ghz (SH3) to 2Ghz...yet RAM is still at an unbelievably low 512MB. :hmm:

You're right, I don't believe it. Well, maybe if you run the game in 240x320 resolution, black-and-white...

I've got 1.5GB RAM on my PC and I'll be amazed if THAT'S enough to reproduce what we've been seeing here.

The new shaders and transparency are more than enough for me, to make SH4 look the way I want it to.
If the system-specs are raised substantially, than I only hope it's because AI objects will behave more realistic, demanding a faster CPU.
For example, look at SH3 aircrafts behave: their damage- and flight-model is a joke, imo....same goes for AI subs...but I don't want to complain, as I'm still enjoying SH3 very much.

Actually, I though they were new, too, but then I saw that they were posted last October, in this very thread, as seen here:

Who knows why both Gamespy and Gamespot are showing these as new images.

Looking splendid. I like those parachutes, except the downed airmen look a bit... stiff.

Oh, and Boris, I for some reason couldn't see your pics before opening your post (by hitting "Quote"). Weird.
