Nvr mind i figured it out, but how do i make my Guns on the ships more accurate, does the max AI guns fix All guns or just the enemies?

Just the enemies. I haven't quite figured out how to get the gun accuracy on the player ship better. But you'll pretty much be on a equal playing field as the enemy bb if his error angle is set to about 3.

You might want to try this mod with SergbutoŽs Camera Mod enabled in JSGME after it. It enables you to walk not only in bridge view, but all along the ship. I think youŽll love it.;)

Good idea.

I can only imagine how these warship mods can develop in SH5.

It's too bad there isn't a way to aim all the guns at once from the bridge. Like a little interface with turret controllers for the traverse and elevation. Then having a little chart for your target distance and gun range at certain angles. If this were possible it would revolutionize the game.

problem with reloading a saved game
 
hi,

first off i wanted to say that this is an awesome mod and thank you so much for making it!!! however, i have been having some trouble loading my save games with this mod installed. I am running SH3 with GWX Gold installed and am using the GWX variant of the warship mod, but whenever i save the game mid mission during a career patrol and then try to reload that same patrol the game crashes. Any ideas why/how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

This is a known issue with this mod. Somewhere in this thread is the post from Chinese U-47 himself... can't save a game mid-patrol. The auto-save at the end of each patrol works just fine though, if you're doing a career.

I've had to leave SH3 paused and running all night a couple times when I couldn't finish my patrol!

This is ridiculous. Bismarck vs 4 battleships and 10 destroyers.
3 battleships sunk (Rodney, Hood, Renown)
1 battleship heavily damaged (Nelson)
7 destroyers sunk

GODDAMMIT THEY CANT HIT ANYTHING! I MEAN 4 BATTLESHIPS AND A PACK OF DESTROYERS AGAINST A SINGLE BATTLESHIP? I DIDN'T TAKE ALMOST ANY HITS AND I WOULD HAVE SUNKEN THEM ALL BUT MY AMMO RUN OUT.
YOU MUST FIX THIS BUG IN 3.1

Btw, I have notied that in multiplayer haven't got this problem. Prinz Eugen in Narvik sank quickly. I even got some guns and key components destroyed.

I find changing the crew rating in the .mis file for the ship/s you're up against gives me great variation in setting the performance of guns against me. I've associated .mis files with wordpad and open them and alter them as i like (I realise I can also alter ratings with the mission editor, not sure as precisely though).

For instance, if I set the opposing ship/s crews rating to 5 or 4 in the .mis file, that's pretty lethal. If I set it to 3, it's more even or I get the better of it.

I like setting up mega battles eg Hood, Prince of Wales. KGV, a couple of US battleships against Bismarck. Yamato, Prince Eugen, Scharnhorst. I either play a watching brief as a sub or an active role - playing Bismarck or Scharnhorst.

I like the fact that you can tinker with the crew rating of each ship (including your own ship) to even things up, giving some a 4 rating and some a lesser 3 rating to balance up the contest.

This really is a fantastic mod IMO and I can't wait for even more from Chinese U7, great.

Have you changed the AI Cannons Max Error Angle? This is a must for this mod.

If you haven't, go to <WSM install directory>\data\Cfg and open the Sim file in Notepad. The second block of code there looks like this:

[AI Cannons]
Max error angle=40 ;[deg]
Max fire range=30000 ;[m]
Max fire wait=0 ;[s]

Change the max error angle to about 3. I find that this makes the AI ships' accuracy equivalent to my own crew's.

what mission did you fight hood ? did you create it
