if you have it set to auto, there's a work around for the range, when you click on the little button or screw on the bottom middle right to bring up the controls that tells you the angle and that kind of stuff, well it has a range setting to that will tell you the range but it wont update the range in less you click it off and bring it back up it will update the range for you... if its set for manual shooting than you have to add all the info in yourself. just thought i would tell that in case anyone wants to use this good mod on auto there is a way you can tell the range from the target...

i hope your dad is feeling better OLC and everything is fine..

if you want to update the TDC with new data (like new range f.ex.), it is better to use the TDC autoupdate function, which can be set in the commands.cfg

i use this button in this way: my tdc is always on autoupdate, i set it to manual mode for entering new data, then i set him back to auto. using it in this way makes for sure that your tdc is updated everytime, you dont need to switch it on and off for updating it.

OLC is it possible to make your mod(this mod for stock) to be compatible with Anvart's Rotating radar fix?

Here's Anvart's page to his mod:

http://files.filefront.com/Rotate+Fu.../fileinfo.html

I tried to do it myself ended up with CTDs luckly I didn't have to reinstall because I was careful with JSGME.

I'm 'torn' between your must have mod and his

without yours SH3 would feel like a stupid game and would give me less accuracy and kill satisfaction.
Without Anvart's i'm not able to use the FuMo30 360 degree radar which is important to have from 1943 onwards rotating radar because that radar would be in a critically wrong position and would look so stupid when viewed through the free cam.

Thank you whatever your response would be.

Btw I already PMed Anvart about this. Waiting for his reply.

Sorry, can you elaborate on exactly how to set the TDC autoupdate in commands.cfg? Because I find it bit annoying that I often screw up my torpedo shots because I forget to turn off the TDC module for autoupdates.

I'm not sure if this issue was brought up before but are the tube selection markings ever gonna show up in future update? Currently they're just blanks and makes it hard for salvo shots.

Also, is this mod compatible with voice command? It seems to conflict with commands.cfg file, but I have no way of knowing wheter they are compatible or not.

Kudos for the awesome mod though, I ain't playing the game without it! :up:

Jaeger 12-06-07 04:33 PM

look for this entry in your commands.cfg

[Cmd131]
Name=Toggle_TDC_autoupdate
Ctxt=1
MnID=0x3F010017
Key0=0x41,c,"CTRL A"

i set "ctrl+a" for this happening. when pressed, tdc is in automode. only for setting new data, i switch to manual mode.

hope this helps.

The tube selection markings only appear if you load the game using SH3 commander:yep:

OLC never mind my asking in the previous post. I already did that. It was simple. Just had to merge your en_menu.txt with Anvart's.

If anybody running stock with OLC GUI mod and wants to install Anvart's radar rotation fix just PM me and I'll send you this combined en_menu.txt file via email.

I haven't done anything with the German txt file though. I don't understand German /nacht sprachen Deutsch. Sorry.

Edit: further play testing resulted in a bug whereby the TDC menu on attack periscope station just simply froze. So in the meantime I play without Anvart's rotating radar fix

I have 2 questions.

1) I know it says that this mod is not compatible with mods that add new ships. Is this what you are talking about : (The dot where the ship name should be)
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m.../Periscope.jpg
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...creens/UZO.jpg

If this is the result, the read me says to double the Mast value, this should correct this problem. My friend KUrtz just installed a new ship pack, and would like this problem resolved. Or, could that be a flaw on the Peri/UZO tga ?

2) This question is for myself. I am a WAC 2.15 user. I suppose the OLC GUI 1.4 SH3 1.4b version would be compatible ?

Thank you for such a wonderful mod, and Happy Holidays

Castout 12-07-07 03:57 AM

Tuddley( are you the same tuddley over at Ubisoft forum?), No the dot is not supposed to be there. At least from my experience.

When adding new ship models the only file you should change is the cfg file inside the ship name folder under data/Sea/shipnamefolder

You should not change any other thing including the cfg file for the rosters

Doubling the mast value would be convenient for you for this mod to work.

If you somehow didn't double the mast value you may input the wrong value while doing manual TDC with this mod because OLC has chnaged the manual description of mast to double mast value.

Tuddley3 12-07-07 05:03 AM

Thank you Castout for your quick response, and you are correct, I am the same Tuddley from Ubi. Sounds like there is still some work to do for me and my buddy KUrtz. Being that your answer was an intelligent one, I understand now also that this mod may not be compatible to WAC, because all of the ships contained in it. Maybe the only way for me to find out, is to test it out myself.

Castout 12-07-07 06:37 AM

The stock ships would have the right double mast value while the other newer non stock ships would not. For these you need to manually double their mast value in the folder I specified in my previous post. This done and you're ready to go.

This is a very good mod Tuddley. I enjoy it very much. It may look difficult to master at first but give it a couple of days and it comes natural to you. Hope you make it work.

Btw I'm KITT on UBI forum. Cheers

This mod is GWX 2 compatible not?
