Yes I have had to change the bravado actions
Need to think a bit more now

Faamecanic 11-14-06 11:46 AM

3 quick questions (dont know if you can answer them all) which are my 3 biggest gripes with bugs in SHIII.

1) Weather... does GWX do something about the stupid never ending days of rain? I went on one patrol to the USA coast. Left port and it was a nice July day. Within 48 hours out of port it turned ugly (rain, wind 15 kts, high seas) and STAYED that way for 2 months!!!!

2) XXI (and other subs schnorkel) being detected by AI warships like my sub was fully out of the water! I know Jungman was working on this last year when I stopped playing (I helped him test a few solutions). Is his fix for this in the GWX mod?

3) Radar always being destroyed.... I think this always happened with my IX-D2...

Thanks again guys!

Nooooo..... I love the idea of having the grammaphone music included!!! Understand if you have to though..and I have about 100-200 misc songs already on my PC and in my grammaphone folder.

Oh ...2 more questions

1) before I install GWX (when it arrives) should I remove those songs out of my grammaphone folder? That is the ONLY files I have added to SHIII

2) My grammaphone ALWAYS skips... has there ever been a fix to this? I did try converting all my song files to .ogg and the result was it still skips.

That's one option. Or you can remove the Gramaphone folder altogether and then replace it once GWX is installed.

I converted all mine to .wav and have had no problems.

For performance and weight reduction Pants converted all our Gramophone bits to ogg.vorbis just so you know... Its a basic selection for those that don't know how to manipulate SH3 files... That way they have at least something... Otherwise players can add, delete, or change as they wish.

Stock SH3 didn't come with anything at all in there... so we filled in the hole with some period music... Though I would like to add some Pink Floyd to mine.:arrgh!:

I like the sound of this harder, more realistic Silent Hunter.

:shifty: Well having a Bernard onboard that operates the Grammophone
he turned on Village People - In the Navy.
we had to throw the Grammophone overboard...and the same we did with bernard. still can hear the song In The navy at the horizon:damn:

Hey Respenus
You up for some MP fun GWX style over the weekend?

The General 11-14-06 12:42 PM

I didn't want to rain on anyone's parade. I was just saying it sounds good. I'm just guessing that everyone getting sea-sick means that the sub-physics behaviour MOD is working well.
