Reminds me of the time my older daughter, who was about three or four at the time, tried to get me to trade with her, because I had five "monies" and she had one. I had to explain to her that my four pennies and a nickel weren't worth as much as her one quarter. She actually got it, which is one of the reasons I wasn't surprised when she told me she planned to major in math with a minor in physics.

Did her plans come to fruition?:hmmm:

She was one of the University of Utah's "Mathletes", and currently teaches high-school math.

One of the other things she did at four was show me she could count to one hundred. I said "Okay, smart kid, try this - two, four, six, eight, ten."

My jaw dropped when she stared at me for a couple of seconds and replied "One, three, five, seven, nine, eleven!"

I sometimes joke that one daughter majored in math and physics, the other in basketball and boys. :rotfl2:

:haha: As long as they are both happy and well!!
Funny though how quick kids pick things up, I taught my son (aged 4 or 5) every component on various circuit boards, when my uncle (electronics engineer) came around I told him, he wouldn't believe me so he tested him with dozens of components and got them all right, he was flabbergasted,:o though his speech for various parts was incorrect but humorous!!:yep: eg, capacitor was pacitor, he could distinguish the various types as well!:yep: when he'd had enough he used to say "nuff", a shame he had no interest in electronics so in time forgot the lot!
