It's like some sort of morbid fascination that the media has with them, I don't recall any other non-big-three political party having this much attention, not the Greens, the BNP, the SNP, Plaid Cymru, Democratic Unionist, not even 'Respect' or 'Alliance'.

This is how the UK power scene looks at the moment:

Quote:

Conservative 303
Labour 257
Liberal Democrat 56
Democratic Unionist 8
Scottish National 6
Sinn Fein 5
Independent 3
Plaid Cymru 3
Social Democratic & Labour Party 3
Alliance 1
Green 1
Respect 1
Speaker 1
UK Independence Party 1
Vacant 1
Total number of seats 650
Current working Government Majority 76
It's ridiculous really, all this attention on UKIP and Farage. :nope:

Thing is....if he takes half of the LibDem seats and a dozen from each of Labour and the Conservatives, the picture would look totally different.

I'm thinking his statement about supporting a coalition with the Tories under the absolute understanding of an EU referendun a couple of months (July) after the general election will either make or break him and his party in the eyes of the electorate.

What are the chances of a Labour Conservative coalition to prevent that happening? :)

Have you tried to combine an irresistible force with an immovable object?

What on earth was Lord Freud (a Tory millionaire) thinking of? :o

As well as a PM that appears reluctant to deal with the situation.

First up I can not be bothered to check this but if you want to feel free.

Having a chat in the pub and the debate about the EU Referendum came up and some one said this is all bluff because the The Lisbon Treaty dose not allow the UK to have a EU Referendum.

Now if this is true, then this government has lead the people up the garden path just so the Cons can be re-elected.

STEED 10-18-14 05:19 AM

Thanks.

I had a feeling he as wrong.

With migrants causing problems in Calais, its wonderful to see the UK help by spending $19 million dollars to help set up camps for them over there! If I start acting up over here in the States, will you spend $19 Million on me?:D

Viewed as a bit of a joke here in the UK but Cameron is desperate to put a curb on illegal immigrants in the run-up to next years election.

That is what you get when you put drug dealing and prostitution in to the GDP to boost those figures to look good. :har:

Jimbuna 10-25-14 07:38 AM

He's certainly painted himself into a corner with this one and added weight to those who want to leave the EU.

I reckon Farage was right when he said on last nights news that it is time to decide if we want to remain a member of this club.

Problem as I see it jim, Cameron will word the question in a certain way and the BBC would back up the Tories to the hilt and slam UKIP, BBC not bias sure.

That is too say if we got the referendum before the general election. Cameron is banking on the EU scrapping these in/out referendums which will suit him well.

BossMark 10-26-14 09:37 AM

Did David Cameron just click agree without reading the terms and conditions to the EU?
