Hydrophone display all blurry
Hi guys, first of all it is great to meet such a huge community of fellow simmers.
So after a few months on SH3 GWX 3.0 Gold, I decided to try Silent Hunter 5. Ubistore has it at a bargain price with WELCOME2021 voucher if anyone is interested, just 7,89 euros. Anyway, thanx to THEBERBSTER's detailed info about... well almost everything on SH5 :up:, I successfully installed the magnificent TWOS from vdr1981 (many many thanks for a superb job :Kaleun_Applaud:) . The ONLY 2 problems that I have is that the fonts on the various instruments on the control room plus the hydrophone is almost unreadable. Especially the hydrophone's fonts are really unreadable the others are mostly blurry. Also, I have a great aspect ratio distortion on the sides of the screen. So when a round instrument is at the center of the screen, it looks well ...round but close to the edges is highly elliptical. I have already tried to experiment with different resolution settings and also the DPI settings on the compatibility tab, but nothing changes on either problems. So the mods and spec of my machine are: Windows 10 Intel HD400 Integrated graphics Resolution of screen 1920x1080 Resolution in Game 1600x900, but I have also tried it on 1920 x 1080 and the problems are there. Mods: TWOS 2.2.21 plus: TWoS Campaign Start_VIIB_UFlaK TWoS Encrypted BdU Orders TWoS Env Settings - Brighter Nights TWoS FX_Reduc. Fires and Expl._Incr. Flooding via Zones TWoS Harbors Chimney Smoke TWoS Real Navigation TWoS Remove Sub Flags TWoS SM Interior_Food Stocks TWoS Wooden Lifeboats Any available help is highly appreciated. yes to the letter. I had no problem at all from the installation! The game seems to be working great besides the 2 issues I mentioned. On 1 and 2 you can see the ellipsis on the instruments. and on 3 the hydrophone's fonts Hope it helps. -====edited===- ok now that I think of it I don't how important it is but during the installation of TWOS on step 2 of the pdf on the second bullet "Now, click "File" - "Restore snapshot" and double click TWoS 2.2_Snapshot.gps file.", I received an error that sh.exe file is locked by another application and cannot proceed with the action. I realized that the antivirus was on so I disabled it did the action again and completed successfully. |

You can read hydrophone needle bearing on the notepad in upper left corner...:yep: |

During my third patrol, I have a problem deciphering the message from my second zone. I made a screenshot of the message in question: https://i.imgur.com/vVJVqB7.png The first grouping of 4 letters is good, but the rest is not. There must be an error that has been introduced in the code . Is there a way to find the unencrypted message ? |

Hi,
i was submerged for a while and now just wanted to see if the problems with the latest Ubisoft Update are somewhat fixed or at least we have a work around. I tried to get my old Version with TWOS running but no joy so i decided to do it again, right from the start. So i uninstalled SH5 and did a fresh install. I run sh5 in Admin Mode and also tried Win 7 compatibility. But every time i start the Game it happens the same thing again and again. No matter if i start a new Campaign and hitting the Bunker or if i load a historical mission or anything else. Everytime i enter the 3D World there is only a Black Screen, saying the Game is paused. If i hit ESC to get into the menu, it took a few seconds then i see something. If i then go back to the Game it looks normal. The Pause is ended but nothing moves. All the people, the sea and the boat are frozen. I can move aroud but everything else is frozen. As i said its a clean Stock Install so i can be sure no mod causing problems. I run as Administrator, Win7 Compatibility and excluded the SH5 Directory from the Antivir Software but cant get the Game to work. Did i miss something? Any Ideas? |
