OMG! That's the coolest thing I've ever seen! Was that music you can hear actually in the game!? Did anybody else find the experience a little creepy ?

Dowly 03-21-07 08:13 PM

Where did this happen? As, I dont see their textures in the tex folder, the binoc zooms to a slightly different spot than where the unzoomed view is pointed, the shadows are pointing towards the sun. Why didnt you show us them from closer distance with the external camera? :hmm:

You can never be too sceptical. :rotfl:

THE_MASK 03-21-07 08:32 PM

I can see an obvious blood mod needed LOL .

Boris 03-21-07 08:32 PM

Jaggies or not, they look awesome. Some other posts I've read have accounts of bleeding eyes and blindness caused by poor graphics... not the case.
Some AA would be nice though. :yep:

ParaB 03-21-07 09:05 PM

Absolutely beautiful shots, CCIP!

Oh, I wanted to note something about this screen I posted:

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p...seal/sh135.jpg

The crew on deck are handled GREAT, I thought. Wonderful little detail. When the ship is cruising peacefully, they stroll around randomly, scratch their heads, and other sort of idle animations. When the ship is under attack or has been hit, they start to panic - like the guy on the left here - or duck and keep their heads down.

When the ship is hit badly, some of them hit the deck and then disappear. Others die, as the guy in the middle here. I think I hit him while trying to get that machinegunner with my flak gun (it was in a training mission).

You will not see the crew on deck as the ship sinks. They will hit the deck or die before it happens, and then disappear.

Very cool!

The General 03-21-07 10:35 PM

I'm guessing ('cos I don't have the game yet), did you achieve that steep ascent angle by being able to control the dive planes and ballast manually? Or did you just blow ballast with some heavy flooding aft?

A swarm of wasps?

Has anyone noticed a wasp's nest?

Maybe this is what the Lancasters are searching for?

(the only thing that irks me a little about the troops is that they never land - they just cruise around in their little boat near the shore - but once you drop them off, you're basically free to go)
