Sorry for my late reply, but I had difficulties getting subsim pages yesterday.

I've dived into my archives and found a copy of the mentioned game.
I stand corrected.

There is indeed a kind of Morse used, but only when you send out your current position to HQ.

However the mission commands are just a simple page (pressing <alt>+m key).

I apologize for the confusion.

Correct! Well, as far as we can tell.

The milk that is being poured in the video certainly looks like evaporated milk, rather than the condensed milk .......

.

Yep, evaporated milk.
My grandparents still buy the stuff by the crate.

I didn't know there was a difference.

I guess I hate 'em both. :dead:

A U-Boot is a beer cocktail (popular in Germany, Poland, Serbia and Flanders) that is made with a glass of beer and a shot glass of vodka. In Germany, the liquor k(?)orn is sometimes used instead, while in Flanders and the Netherlands, jonge jenever is preferred.
It is called a U-Boot (German abbreviation of Unterseeboot, "submarine") because the shot glass of vodka sinks to the bottom of the glass of beer. The shot glass then "surfaces" when the cocktail is drunk.
In Flanders, it is called a "Duikboot", literally translated "Submarine". It is seen as a variant on the kopstoot (lit. "headbutt") in the Netherlands; generally speaking, the kopstoot is taken as a shot followed by beer as a chaser, although dropping the glass of jenever is not unheard-of.
In Serbia, it is called "Podmornica", literally translated "Submarine".
In southern Germany, U-Boot is usually served as a combination of Fanta and cognac instead of beer and vodka.

Well...It depends of the start date of the campaign.

In a campaign starting April 1942, Pearl Harbour, I have Fred Warder as leading as, with 14.300 tons.

Regards.

Side note: Fred Warder rose to the rank of rear admiral and lived to be 95 years old, dying in 2000: http://articles.latimes.com/2000/feb/04/news/mn-61070

Fitzcarraldo has a point. Starting at the beginning of a career nobody is on the board. Starting after the beginning Fred Warder and others are listed.

I know that one :D Just in "submarine" it is not vodka, it is brandy made from plums. ( very nasty stuff )

That is the answer I was looking for. Once Commander's begin to appear on the board, Warder is on
top.
