Nope...British post WWII only.
|
Then you still have a great selection, :yep:
|
Thank you.

Jim, if post war RAF is your bag, I can whole-heartedly recomment reading Sqn Ldr Jerry Pook's book Flying Freestyle - flying JPs, Hunters, Harriers, Tornados, F104, and Drakken in places like Bahrain, Oman, Germany, Falklands, Belize, and of course the UK.
I'm only just over halfway through, in Wildenrath with Harriers... :yeah: |

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Flying-Frees.../dp/1844158241 I've a nasty habit of putting a book I'm currently reading down for one that arrives so I'll finish this little beauty below first but I will purchase it. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_...eers+pitchfork |
That's admirable, I can't afford to blow that much on a book so I just use my local library - although they have nothing in stock that I want so it costs me 25p to order it in from another library.

Another one for you to read Jim:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cold-War-Hot...8140636&sr=1-1 It's a good read. :yeah: |

The last of the 'Boscombe Down' section in my collection....the Canberra.

Lost the bid on the Afghanistan Chinook so I purchased the Beirut example instead (slightly rarer because only 1200 were made unlike the 1500 of the Afghanistan Chinook).
AA34212 Chinook HC.1B ZA705/EZ, No, 18 Sqn., Beirut...83/1200 Comes with two sets of rotor blades for inflight and landed positions but I haven't fitted them...I'll wait until she goes on display. http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/6613/p1000699q.jpg http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/6594/p1000694a.jpg http://img806.imageshack.us/img806/2848/p1000695a.jpg http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/3919/p1000693u.jpg The rear ramp lowers to reveal a crew member inside. http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/4254/p1000697o.jpg http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/285/p1000698d.jpg |
Very nice!
|
The looks good Jim, nice that you get straight and droopy blades.
My only gripe would be that the plough/big dipper stars (from Ursa Major) are 7 sqn's badge, not 18 - they have a red Pegasus. |
