The German team played not bad, imo. For Serbia, it was all or nothing, like in the round of sixteen. The tension rises. That is what this world cup needed which was kind of boring so far, imo.

USA was quite good. It was a 3:2 which is almost like a 1:0., no matter what the referee says.

England, if they don't win the 3rd match, the players need a punch in the face. I think, once they made it pass the group round, they will get back to their senses. Remember Italy, who won the world cup after 3 draws in the group round.

What happen to Beckham? Why isn't he playing for England?

Injury to his leg. He was operated for it in Finland but didn't recover quite fast enough to make the games. I think there is a theoretical possibility that he might have been able to play in the last few games had they chosen him to the team but he wasn't chosen.

Well I was beginning to think I was watching the latest offering from Comic Relief :hmmm:

Scanning the internet news sites is going to be entertaining today...I suspect :DL

I can't believe we only managed a draw against a sh!t team we should easily have beaten.

I'm ashamed to call myself Algerian.

So Wayne Rooney is not happy being booed by the fans, tough luck. You can speak on your £100,000 a week you over paid pig, last nights game by England was a joke, a dreadful bad joke at that. :hulk::hulk::hulk::hulk::hulk:

I find this article hilarious. You Brits have a way of making fun of things. I quote the first two paragraphs.

Quote:

It is remarkable that a fist-gnawingly dire England performance still has the power to shock, when in some ways this one had all the exquisite unpredictability of Norman Wisdom approaching a banana skin in the immediate vicinity of a swimming pool. To draw one eminently winnable group match is unfortunate, to draw two begins to look as if England are six kinds of crap, if Lady Bracknell will forgive the paraphrase.

Clearly today was one of the best days for English football in recent years – before the game kicked off. Not only did Germany lose, but they only went and missed a bleeding penalty, while the USA were unfortunate to draw 2-2 with Plucky Slovenia, or however we are currently patronising a side that on the evidence of their next opponents' performance today could hand England's backsides to them without breaking sweat.

Oranje versus the Rising Sun, halftime. Boooring. Harmless Dutch without creativity, disciplined Japanese without creativity.

A completely irrelevant match.

The Japanese are not quite comfortable on the offensive at the moment, playing well defensive so I hear, the Dutch are just breaking themselves on the defences.

EDIT: Scrub that...Japanese defences have been breached. Good shot Holland! :D

HunterICX 06-19-10 08:39 AM

Mmmm...difficult match, glad we had that nice shot that made it 1 - 0

Must say Japanese had a very well made defense covering the lines of our strikers very well. The coach used the same line up as against Denmark and it showed it doesn't work...he needs to work on a new line up for the next match.

I don't know why everyone is criticising Heskey.

I think he's been solid in defence for Algeria.

The England National Anthem.

The only time Wayne Rooney kept his mouth shut all game!

That "s h i t" team actually played for 90 minutes. The english team did what ? Walked for the entire match ? :haha: :haha: If the algerians had had a quality striker they would have made a goleada of the english team.
Lucky for you they didn't.

The England National Football Team visited a South African orphanage today.

"It feels so good to put a smile on the faces of those with no hope, constantly struggling and facing the impossible." said Jamal Otombo, aged 6.
