Sorry for the rant up front: our non-police supe has given us a wonderful mandate for the election night. They cancelled everyone's day off. Those folks will have to work 12 hours, in our formal uniforms (ties and straight 80/20's pants, not the optional cargo pants with extra pockets, to keep essential equipment in.) And the saucer hat, rather then the baseball style cap, that only costs 20 dollars if you lose it, you lose your saucer hat with the shield, day off w/out pay, plus the cost of a new saucer hat which is 40 bucks. The riot helmets will be three miles away in your personal vehicle. :o

You have one all ready in place: municipal and state law enforcement. How about funding us?????
