no modifications to the rain was used at all that I know of

To make sure the total package of the 9KM visability mod worked I used his scene.dat file then did all my work on LBO on top of that. So if a modification was made to the rain it would be in there. I never checked to be honest. I found out from Kriller that I didn't have all of the modifcations on my Scene dat for the 9km work so I just used his and built onto that.

I just added a link for an improved scene.dat tweakfile in the 1.3 mods section. it has an extra horizon dropdown submitted by Mav78th... I will look at this other scene.dat you mention and see if theres even more lines in there.. if so ill whip up a new one for ExcaliburBane.

EDIT: It seems the only changes Mav made to the Scene.Dat tweak file was add the horizon category as mentioned above (on top of his actual tweaks). All the changes MAV made to his Scene.Dat file are in his readme that comes with his Camera Mod.. its in the SH4 1.2 mods section if anyone is looking for it. SO maybe it was just light rain in your screenie ^^

I love it! Great job!

Okay 1 of my testers asked if I could make the sub

hit the waves more even at Ahead Standard instead of just at Ahead Flank so I have done that for a change as well.

And I was asked to calm the sea a little more at the lower wind states and I have also done that as well.

But the good news is as well no one has reported Jelly effects anymore or shaking camera view's so it looks like all of that is repaired. And it seems I was able to stablize the FPS rate better as well.

Also the current of the ocean in high sea's is a bit stronger. I have my telegraph on the Sargo class sub set so that Ahead Standard is 12knt's but when I am going with the wind direction I am showing on the knt meter 13knt's so that is also an improvment over the last release.

See this is why this time I put it out there to be tested first by someone other than myself. There is a total of 8 testers I am using Moder's and players alike.

So should be out for final release soon everyone.

leovampire, this is amazing news. A new and improved version of your mod must be something to behold, because the one I'm using is awesome, itself!

Bill

OT: Akbar, every time I look at your sig, it cracks me up!

okay guys give me a few extra days

jaketoox just made the scene dat tweek file much better for me to work with by finding a way to seperate each wave state to it's own wind speed individualy and once I used this I got waves that almost sunk my sub in wave state 4 so I have a bit more tweeking to do guys here is an example of what I mean after I toned down how much effect the wind has over the ocean it was worse. As a matter of fact it did sink my sub I was in shallow waters and the waves slamed my sub against the bottom of the ocean and had massive hull damage and could not recover. So have some major toneing down to do.

This is after the tone down before that the waves were the hight of the Yamamot's talest comand tower. So just bare with me a few more days.

I put the new scene file for mini tweeker adjustments on the first page for a download link for everyone.

And here is a new screen shot of the lightning textures being worked on by Captain Cox and kapitan_zur_see

Wow. :o

chopped50ford 08-17-07 06:00 PM

That is awesome.

I was in a sea state 4 once before in the Asheville; on the surface. That was short lived.

We dove to 400 feet and we could still feel the current.

it was amazing.

I can go as high as a catagory 5 huricane in the settings for the ocean but it would sink every ship on it and in the docks.

I just added all the new veribles available in my physics program that I can work with and change so it is just a mater of fine tuning it again to work with the new parameters available with the new mini tweeker capabilities.

Then get it to my testers and get the final okay for release.

Wow ! All we need is the new surfboard class ingame and we could ride the waves.
Surfin' U.S.A. ...

Just kidding, waiting a few more days is really hard ! :D
But it's going to be amazing, that's for sure ....

leovampire 08-18-07 01:11 AM

okay now as you can see there is a steady build up

In waves as the wind increases with the new mini tweeker settings available to to use. I will get day time pictures once I have the saves for it.

5mps wind and waves 7mps wind and waves

so it all should look better and blend in better now. And I have some more new
lighting effects going for the lightning as well I call it cloud burst. Next it the
water lighting and reflections. Okay now the water lighting is done too!
