1) Where do we send it? Francisco's parents? Need an address.
2) How will we do it ? I can upload to zazzle and have it printed and sent directly to address.
3) Torps do you want to have a go at blowing it up slightly larger? Any expers in res and printing with advice?

I mentioned to Neal of the possibility that any gift for Dave be delivered if agreed upon by a Subsim member. I offered since I am only about an hour from Dave's town. I also learned that another member is also about the same distance away. Neal was pretty receptive to the idea, since it would be a more meaningful, personal touch then just recieving something in the mail. If it's ok with all the rest of you, mabey we could go this route and have the two of us present Dave with our gift. How dose everyone feel about this?

I am allso voting for this!

Count me in as well :yep:

We're thinking of you LEO/DAVE!

This waiting for news across the other side of the world is a killer, I log on every hour or so just for updates about our comrade, I guess that no news is good news. Godspeed you guys heading for Dave's temporary harbour with the get well poster, I hope it can bring even a little light into this very difficult time. All our prayers are still with you mate.

Recovery could take some time :hmm:

Again 1680 x 1050 Comment welcome anybody else give it a try??

Great work GF

Just one little nit to pick - if we do decide to go with this one, can you please fix the text at the bottom? "Captain's" should just be "Captains", without the apostrophe - it's plural, not possessive. As much of a perfectionist as Dave has been in his work on ROW, I suspect he may be as anal-retentive about grammar/punctuation as I am and I'd hate for us to give him something that might nag at him, even on a subconscious level.

elanaiba 01-07-08 08:53 PM

Perhaps a grammar mistake is good, will give Dave a reason to raise from the bed and come to the forum to point it out :D

Sailor Steve 01-07-08 09:38 PM

Are you kidding? His grammar is worse than anybody's!:rotfl:

Seriously wishing that would rile him enough to make him get up and come looking for me.

Just a quick edit to explain: Some time ago I PMed him to complain about his misuse of apostrophes (you guys know how bad I am about that). When he PMed me back he actually apologized to me, the explained about his two previous strokes. Boy, did I feel guilty.

I don't feel guilty about it anymore, just sad. I do hope it turns out okay, Dave.

CDR Resser 01-07-08 09:45 PM

I'm with SS, I would rather make a mistake and have LV come looking for me.
All our hopes are with you LV.
You don't need this much "shore leave".;)

Respectfully Submitted;

Leo, I'am just a newbie around here, but I've already got all your hard work within SH4. I know others have helped, but this is your moment to get well and come back fighting. Just wouldn't be the same Sim without ROW.

:D so, get well ASAP and get back to the helm of your boat.

I just made my third war patrol with SeaDragon, she's taking care of business. You take care of yourself one day at a time. I will transfer to another boat upon your return.:)
