I'm not 100% sure whether the assignment (subset1 and subset2) of the .mtl files is correct, because I tried a few things afterward. This is what it looks like in Blender: https://i.postimg.cc/850v5D2r/Screen...-19-193412.jpg Here is the ingame result: https://i.postimg.cc/y6LQmZHF/SH5-Im...9-19-22-37.jpg |
Early versions of TDW's Tool were shakey. Thus all the different versions.
You might want to try later versions as I can see the UV's getting all screwed up in what you sent me. It was always a fixed version screwed up working stuff as he went along. Was sad to see him just up and go POOF and not trust anyone with the Source code. Was also sad that the MANY suggestions I gave him were ignored back in the days. At lest the Splash Screen when it opens mentions me. :D |
Unfortunately, the only problem is that your modified file cannot be opened in the current version of TDW's editor, or the editor loads and loads and loads. However, I killed the loading process after about 30 minutes.
Maybe it will be possible to create this file as a new one, only with the changed objects at the correct position. :hmmm: |
The problem is not TDW's program. It's the GR2 file itself.
If you know how to use the Granny Viewer you can spot it by checking the Vertex data of parts. Looking at your obj files and textures? I can tell you a better way to do what you want and still use this GR2. Notice the "DiffuseColor0" in there. You can also check the "MaxChannel_2" settings and see it's not used if you look around. https://i.imgur.com/5cNCf7Z.jpg |
Yes, this UBoot_Sensors.gr2 file is also a little different in structure than the other gr2 files.
I tried my luck again today and recreated the 3D object, but that also failed. If you want, I can send you the obj files again. Currently, only the "atack_periscope_wire_body" is ready for import. The files "atsck_periscope_body" and "atack_periscope_type2_wire_body" still need to be sorted and put in the right order for import. |
Send me what you got and I'll do what I'm thinking and send it back to you.
