I'M BACK BABY!...The Tory state secret police will not shut me up unless the bill going though Parliament is passed. Councils to be given more powers to outlaw peaceful protests!

Home Secretary Theresa May vows to make the battle against "abhorrent" modern slavery in Britain her personal priority.

"How dare these people make others work for no money and with no rights." She said. "That was our idea!"

Jimbuna 11-25-13 12:29 PM

The Home Secretary has said modern day slavery is all around us and "hidden in plain sight".

I'm sure she'll find it is now referred to as "minimum wage".

Which was bought in by Labour and if they got any sense they will get rid of it and give us a proper living working wage by law. Unlike in London Boris boasts about the living wage and hardly any employer in London has taken it up.

My wife brought home a Nick Clegg advent calendar.

You have to pay to open the doors and, when you do, they're empty.

Good news for Britain. Peoples incomes are increasing:up:
George Osborne is pleased to announce that overall wages have increased nationwide.
OK on the downside low earners have taken a drop, middle income earners are down £5k a year, but bankers bonuses ensured that the overall figure is positive:rotfl2:

Jimbuna 12-03-13 06:47 AM

I'm confident of one thing...my index linked pension won't be worth as much next year as it is now.

The chancellor also announced a cap on welfare spending would be set in 2014 and start in 2015. It will exclude the state pension and jobseeker's allowance.
