Hi Hans,

I have followed your work and progress since you started this topic. Speaking English isn't easy for me, so i don't post often (I can even say that I post rarely) :oops:.

I am very imprest by the hahd team's work. Many thank for all your efforts to improve this marvelous submarine simulation.

I have a question regarding crew state. Will it be possible to have crew at different position in submarine when battle station, or silent running, or... ?

If not, it will be possible to have crew at different position in submarine when crewstate is panic, or tense, or normal ?

I hope you understand what i want to say,

Bonjour Jean,

I am not sure of what you say here but in case you didn't know on our website reaper has made a French section in the forum so i invite you to ask this question again in your native language over there.

I speak fluent French because it is my native tongue.

As for the question i can do almost everything with crew inside or outside boat.

We have 2 kind of crew one i call active are the main one already include in stock game these are your officers, radio and sonar men, watch, deck gun and flak and some other inside like helm and valve, we call them active because they are link to commands via statemachines controller.

The other i call passive are there to add life and realism to boat different compartment but if i want i can animate passive crew to react to statemachines controller with different boat state condition like under attack, depth charge or any other order include in statemachines controller.

Reading your answer, I see that you have well understood my post :up:.

I am very happy to learn that with your mod, if the sub is under attack, "passive crew" will not stay on bed or in another "waiting position" (like in SH5 !).:yeah:

I am impatient to see the first release of your mod,

I might have missed the topic in this thread, but... would there be any chance to have a widescreen-version of the HAHD GUI later on? So far I see the usual 4:3 ratio, but the graphics look really great and it would be fantastic to be able to enjoy them also on widescreens. :)

hi Hess,
at the moment ,all in team , are very 'pressed' for getting the U-BOOT-HAHD at a close to release stage ! all members that are working on campaign files ,at sensors and at 3ds parts (only Hans and Reaper) are working on the 100% of their power and free time so i can tell you that at the first release of the mod will be no widescreen version of the gui.
after the first release , i will make a widescreen version BUT have in mind that the only .dll availiable for widescreens is the 1360x768 made by Seeadler

Hi mate,

Yep the Pandora box was open the day DD told me how to make animation work in game i knew at this very moment that i would have endless fun!

It is important to take note that our first release will be with stock crew at least the U-BOOT_HAHD one that are already much better then vanilla because i have to finish all animation states for all crew member before i replace the original crew.

It look like a lot of work but for me it is not so bad because of prior experience in animation i can speed up thing greatly.

Expect the complete crew replacement for beginning of spring 2012.

At first i taught i could include one crew member at a time but this will look kind of strange mix with the droids.

Hi mate,

The good thing about U-BOOT_HAHD is that when the bulk of the work will be done we will have plenty of time to add little thing and to polish everything to the level we want to see it like other harbor detail, terrain and trees etc.

I also have a whole bunch of new stuff that no one have seen yet just because you all know i hate spoilers. :k_rofl:

Repair crew
 
Hello guys and thank you in advance for all of your work and efforts.
I was wondering if there would be animations for damage repair from depth charges,aircraft, guns etc. and or mechanical breakdowns.:)

Hi mate and welcome aboard,

And yes we will definitively add repair animations on some areas and i am still looking at new ways to work with statemachines controller to make the crew more reactive to different conditions.

For outside crew to have them doing repair will required to do complete animation sequence of them returning inside the boat and this would mean too much frames as a last resort we can at least make them disappear after repair are done.
