Been looking at this mod and it looks tops, really would like to give it a go. With that in mind I have a very basic question about this: I've only recently got hold of Silent hunter 3 and am thorougly enjoying my U-boat campaign. Am I able to install this mod and run a seperate Warships campaign independant of my U-boat campaign? Or is it one or the other as far as the game saves go?

I play a career with Scharnhorst an fought a British Dorsetshire cruiser.

Funny thing is, the cruiser was all black, but I was not able to sink him and so were I badly scratched, on fire and had 2 dead officers, but did not sink.
Was this cruiser unsinkable as he was in the Bismarck pursue-group?
'Cause afterwards i sunk the already mentioned Illustrious-Carrier with less then ten salvos.
I know that a BC can't take out a BB, but a CA should be possible, that's why I am asking for you experiences...

@Flaxpants: I recommend to clone the SH3-Installation and install WSM there, running the two campaigns seperately

Cheers Redeagle. When you say clone the SH3 installation I am presuming you mean just copy and paste the whole installation folder back onto the drive? Simple as that? Cheers in advance. F

Simple as that. I then rename the folder like SH3_GWX_WSM3.0 and create a new shortcut and there I go. :yeah:

It's Gigabyte-intense, but it works great:rock:

I suppose most people couldn't distinguish all of these planes.And I still have more,just I havn't take their photos here.

Are these japanese Planes already integrated in your Mod ?

I wanne ask for permission to use those japanese Planes for my SH4 Mod "FOTRS"

I've been having a couple problems with the warship mod. First, not really a problem but the textures on the Panzerschiffe's secondary turrets are screwed up. The second is a bit more problematic. The Admiral Hipper has an issue with the throttle. If I bring it to a stop, it won't start moving again unless I shift it to slow reverse before shifting to forward movement.

Hey! Does anyone know where is that main theme of this mod from? That music that plays in the menu? I just heard it from a nature document-TV-show.

This mod is great but I can't help but notice that I can't seem to load my ingame save files and it just hang up.

This is frustrating, especially when you just sank a couple of Battleship.

I encountered that, too. Maybe it's a problem with all those modded stuff that can't be loaded properly form a savegame?

But as I can load in-harbor.files, i just seek for the nearest location to stop playing if i can't get to the home-harbor. Looks funny if a BC anchors near those small supportships in neutral harbours :arrgh!:

I guess you mean you controll the A-Turret yourself.

1st: The gun elevates faster, the less you zoom. So Tab once will reduce elevation rate, Tab 2 times will reduce it further.
2nd: Pressing Shift will speed it up.

My suggestion: Check distance via UZO, pre-elevate the turret unzoomed and the tab to set the elevation exactly. You will get used to how high for example 8000m is unzoomed.


@Alpha: I had those issue sometimes even in SH3 unmodded, so it might not be the mod's fail to 100%

Do you just park the ship in the harbor or do you actually do the dock at port thing?

dock at port.
You will be led to the "ready-room" abd the new mission will be "return to homebase". But for this trip, you will be fully refueled and rearmed.

Hey- I'm new to the Warship mode 3.0 , but playd SH3 for like forever:rock:

But i download WSM 3.0... installed it, and its running ,but my problem is that the enemy ships, can't aim... when i engane in a battle.. the hostiles are just fireing in random directions.. i'm kinda invinceble. since they can't hit me:cry:

Is there a way to fix this or is there anyone else with the same problem?

Please help me.. i like to enojy this AWSOME MODE in campaign aswel and not just on multiplayer^^

Would it be too much to ask that for the next Warship mod update, you add in the Strasbourg? I want to drive this things so bad it's not even funny.

Hello Fellow Captains!

i can't get this wonderful mod to work i use jsgme and activate lets say GE2 i click activate close start the game select mp select ixb (or something)(graf zeppelin) and i start in a sub? can someone please tell me how to get it working ? now i got it to work and i select single(happy times) and select ixb(or something) and it starts to load and then when its almost done i get a ctd and the game crashes to desktop
