Gotland 02-05-11 05:55 AM

My username is the name of the latest submarine class in the swedish navy.
Im a swede in a subsim forum, so i thought it would be a very appropiate username.
Gotland is also the name of Sweden's largest island, and naval ships are by tradition always named after a coastal city/county.

But i chose the name purely because of the sub, i have no affiliation with the county of Gotland (never even been there).

Some years ago, I was fortunate to take a tour on HMS Ocelot with my father, and it was about a year or so later that I finally stopped lurking and became a member of Subsim. :yep:

Fish because a submarine isn't much good without a couple of fish (as in torpedoes) aboard.

Dark because, well, Metal music doesn't really fit "white" or "pink" or "bright yellow" too well....

I don't get over 300 meters... though I must refrain from playing it till monday - better to be paid when you waste your time on pengu-games ;)
nice game, it's part of the Yeti Games series, where innocent penguins are used as sports equipment in any imaginable way :D

You're lucky to get on one  I missed out on getting onboard an Oberon some years ago for a school trip to the Maritime museum in Darling Harbour. Because of some false medical condition that I was thankfully made clear of by a competent eye doctor :stare: 8 years later in fact (this is why I hate most docs)
Though I know I still have a chance, I just need to save up and go down to the museum. They also have a warship you can get onboard too :) And have a buddy to go with, I sometimes hate going alone.

Anyway, I chose my name because of this guy http://images.wikia.com/zoids/images...no_Saurer1.jpg (GenoSaurer). Who was later made a custom (mine) called Geno Mariner who can get submerged and all of that... though I just recently made him back into land-only. But it's blue XD I'm into mecha stuff but certainly not Gundam or anything, they're crap. And humanoid robots are so over used. That's how I got my name when Obie told me of this forum and I was stuck for a username. Nearly picked Warshark, a submarine sort of Zoid (he's got a funnier Japanese name...). But decided on Geno Mariner :)

No you are mistaken, I did not miss, I chose to avoid the many avenues, and I sensibly understand that there was no pre-requisite conditional upon my posting. I need no reminder about whats what, or any advice offered that I did not ask for, thus did/do not expect, therefore infact it was (you who chanced) to take an avenue of further comment, not that (I missed). I should advise that any future posts from you be not so in haste, though I do understand your warm feelings to grasp a rapport within equally our forum.

However hmm...I see no need for your concerns to my dialectal verbiage.
