Gorpet and everyone else here if you want a start answering “why”? Then I STRONGLY suggest a book published in 1997. Yes it was several years ago but it is not outdated as one might might think. It will help you get a grasp on what is going on globally and the importance of Ukraine.

The book The Grand Chess Board by Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzeziński you can pick it on Amazon for a few bucks. You need to search these things out for yourself only idiots rely on the latest Trump, Biden, Russians killing puppies headlines. If you want to know why the U.S. and U.K. send arms to Ukraine so they can defend their homeland read the book. There is much at stake.

Hehe, you are late, Rockie, I recommended that book already during the Gulf war 2003. :O:

Zbigniev and Kissinger. The twin oracles of DelphiWashington...

Well, this war is probably the best documented live war so far, thanks to social media and smartphone cams.

Oh we all know what to think about America, if you think that makes Putin better?
Remember his action falls back on whole Russia.

If true, I feel sorry for those Russians. IMO it’s outdated tactics, I mean assuming Ukraine has access to the weapon systems it will be like shooting fish in a barrel.

Ukraine's coast has been heavily targeted by russian ships recently.

Time for Ukraine to target Sevastopol?

My first wiki link was a dead end.

So here is another more reliable link

Ukrainian has their own ASM.

That may well be the case as well. She could face more charges for " her Crimes. "

It's really hard at this point to figure out how Putin and his cronies will act. I'm sure they are thinking it through. I'm sure it's safe to say that her journalism career is over. She has some nerve though, telling the truth on TV. Who ever heard of such a thing. :shifty:

I suspect she'll get some years for her other charges and suffer terribly in prison and finally done away with. Putin has no problem poisoning people

I'm sure it is. Then you know what is the power of correct and
timely information in the war and what is the power of the correct
presentation of information to the population of your country.

And what is the power of Disinformation?

I will not write much, I will give just one case.
(just concerning the conflict in Ukraine).

The day before yesterday, a Tochka-U missile struck the center of my city
of Donetsk (DPR) from the territory of Ukraine. 23 people were killed
and about 30 injured. Earlier I wrote about smaller victims,
but now they are exactly like that. The blow was struck from
Ukraine. (from the area of the city of Krasnoarmeysk).

An hour after the incident, I go to the social networks
of the Telegram application and watch the news.
- In Kiev! A missile strike was launched by Russia.
And attached are photos of dead civilians and a child from my Donetsk.

According to your news, it was not shown at all...

The next evening (yesterday), another Tochka-U rocket flew to us.
To the city of Makeyevka (you can say this is a continuation of the city of Donetsk)
Guess from where?) From Ukraine... People were killed and three children were severely injured...

You don't know anything about it either...

The missiles were shot down in the air but had cluster charges.
It was these remnants of cassettes that killed people.

P. S. Yesterday it was the sixteenth Tochka- U missile shot down over the city
For the last two and a half weeks...

Luckily, we have you here to give us first hand information on events in the Ukraine. This beats news stories that may well be false or slanted or biased.

As far as military experience, there are more than a few here that have served in the military and fought in difficult times. One thing is certain, Russian seriously underestimated the amount of fight in the Ukrainian people.

Hopefully they'll get to use them and send those ships to the bottom. Hear the water is really cold this time of year
