I reckon a dozen to twenty five at most but that might be all either of the big two need to form a majority coalition.

Hard to say, next years council elections will be the real pointer, I know there are EU elections as well but we know UKIP is going to do well there no question.

Lib Dems will lose a lot of votes from students and the Conservatives will do similarly from the welfare and benefits claimants.

Ed is clueless so it's beginning to look like a right mess already.

This article whilst being interesting also shows what many young people are having to face these days:

Benefits: Your views on cutting them for the under-25s

Quote:

David Cameron has suggested benefits paid to people under the age of 25 could be cut in an effort to reduce long-term worklessness.
In his speech to the Conservative conference, the prime minister promised to "nag and push and guide" young people away from a life on the dole.
It was later confirmed that the government is reviewing policies for 16 to 25-year-olds.
The latest figures from the Department of Work and Pensions showed 1.09 million people between the ages of 16 and 24 were not in work, education or training.

As it stands at this moment the Tories will be back in power with a possible majority of 1-5 seats or they will have to deal with other party's. Ed has got a problem that of the other Ed as in balls who is damaged goods from the last government, he has to go! Ed dose have one card he can play, Dave states we are on the up so why are interest rates being held down, that is to say if they still stand at 0.5% in 2015.

BossMark 10-06-13 12:37 PM

^^
Yes I agree with that Ed should lose his name sake, Balls.

Jimbuna 10-06-13 12:52 PM

Yes, Mr Balls is definitely a potential liability.

The Tory motto is "We support working family's"

Heard on the radio lastnight..

Well well well look who got 70% of the Royal Mail sell off..Banks & speculative traders what a surprice..NOT.

Toffboy you got your motto wrong, it should be "We support greedy corrupt Banks and greedy corrupt corporation business"

Overall, the jobless figures look pretty good...depending on what bias you approach them from.

Old data jim, they just love pushing old good news. People have tried asking the ONS for a complete break down of the figures and they have not given it out. Apart from FT/PT work which is not the whole picture.

For example-
Full time work.
P/T work.
Zero hours work.
Signed off to go too college/university/training your paying for.
Apprenticeship.
Signed off doing agency work.
Government schemes like the work programme, once your on them your off the figures.
Signed off had it with the BS.
Loss of benefit due to infraction running from any where from one month to 10 years.

There is also 5 million out of work not claiming, a percentage are looking for work while the rest are not.

Ministry of propaganda the ONS.

STEED 10-16-13 04:09 PM

Just to add if all this is good news why are the cuts deepening?

Why are rates still being held at 0.05%?

Why are there more food banks?
Why are more people using food banks?

Why are prices rising above wages?

Why is it only the finance service on the up while all the rest going no where?

Why why why?

Jimbuna 10-17-13 02:52 PM

I'm wondering if these increases would have come about so quickly had Miliband said nothing :hmmm:
