@ bart

Some thoughts,

As I'm not too familiar with the 'MMM' mod yet I've got some question for you;

- Which one of all the various parts of the 'MMM' is that one in your list? The one you've got there (MMM v0.5 Base Mod) - Does it really comprise any 'TDW's New UI'? IF it doesn't I suggest you disable the 'OH II Minefield map for TDWs Ui'.
- AND/OR you could even disable the '
IRAI_0_0_37_ByTheDarkWraith'. The IRAI has proved to be quite tricky and there could be a possibility it doesn't like to play together without any 'TDW's New UI'.
That is IF that
'MMM v0.5 Base Mod' does not have any 'TDW's New UI'
- Another suggestion is to activate the
'IRAI_0_0_37_ByTheDarkWraith' before the OPEN HORIZONS II_full v2 and OHII v2 Mission Fix WA
- As Stormy in his instructions for the 'SDBSM' says 'This sound mod compilation requires SH5 v1.2 with german voice pack installed!' you should activate the 'German U-Boat Crew Language Pack' before the 'Stormys DBSM SH5 v1.3 optional remaining orig sounds converted to 22Khz'
:hmmm:

DBSM_Music_1_0_4
Grossdeutscher Rundfunk
MMM v0.5 Base Mod
OPEN HORIZONS II_full v2
OHII v2 Mission Fix WA
IRAI_0_0_37_ByTheDarkWraith <<
TDW_Mines_Subnets_Detectable_in_hydro (OH II v2)
OH II Minefield map for TDWs Ui <<

EQuaTool 01.01 by AvM - Kriegsmarine Regular Style
Manos Scopes-patch for 16x9
gap - HD 1 deg Scope Bearing v 1.0
Date & No Renown Cost
sobers see thru wake fix
Stormys DBSM SH5 v1.3 optional remaining orig sounds converted to 22Khz
gap - Sonar Sound Collection v 1.0 for SH5 - Das Boot
sobers green crew training V4 SH5
NOZAURIO'S SKIN (U-552-Red Devil Emblem) v-1.0.0

And, for sure you don't have any memory issue here. :D

Hi Silent Steel,

Thanks for your advice.

Yes, the MMM v0.5 base mod has TDW new Ui in it, it's not the latest version as the MMM mod is a little old now. I think it has 6_9_0 version and IRAI 0_0_30 so my thinking was to install 0_0_37 after the MMM mod and it should update the files and the mod!?

On the initial install I do a custom install and then select "german voices". The MMM mod contains Stormy's DBSM SH5 v1.3 but not the optional sounds which I added as I simply love this mod  Where would you suggest I install the german voice pack? as I can't see it in the list of mods included in the MMM mod....

If you look here
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=192236
It will give you a full list of what's included in the MMM mod. The version I have is the All In One, it downloaded in four parts and you unzip the first and the others just follow which leaves you with one big file, the MMM Base Mod v0.5

Have a look and see what you think, but if I jumble the mods to your revised list would I have to start a new career? I haven't got past Western Approaches yet as everytime I get this far I mess with my mod list and go back to the Baltic again!!!:dead:

UPDATE...... I just downloaded the german voice pack and checked the files I have in the SH5 game folder and they are in there so I guess when Pedrobas made the MMM mod he included the german voice pack in there somewhere

Hi again,
Now I know you've got the TDW's New UIs in the MMM mod so I'll take it from there.
- Don't do anything with the 'IRAI_0_0_37_ByTheDarkWraith' and the 'OH II Minefield map for TDWs Ui'. They are just fine where they are.
So where does this take us? Nowhere.

As you're having CTDs and you say they occur randomly I still think there must be something related causing this. I'd like to ask you to try to remember what you were doing/performing when the CTDs happen. Like - are you using the external camera (lots of graphics moving) or maybe it could be due to some sound effects or whatever you might find related between the CTDs.

Do I express myself in a possibly understandable way?

Hope you see what I'm asking for mate.

IF you'd like to try another edited or completely new Mod List - remember this;

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/pict...pictureid=6107

For instance you first save your Mod List and then make a copy of it which you give another name. The saved files are in *.mep format and can be edited with Note Pad in any way you like.
Then they can be re-activated (just remember that the mods' names you add to an existing Mod List must have the exact same names as the ones you have in your C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\MODS folder.
AND - in order to get a working Mod List - ALL mods in a Mod List MUST be in the C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\MODS folder.
This way you easily can disable - edit - enable again.
Sometimes an edited Mod List works fine without starting a new campaign, sometimes not but it can be worth a try as you always have a backup of your previous Mod List.
Right?

Get back and tell whatever you can find out

Cheers

I've tried it, and there's some stuff I'm not too keen on. I realise you can swap stuff about but I do like the MMM mod. A shame Pedrobas isn't still around to do an updated one for us.

Hi again silent steel....

Sometimes when I've had a CTD it was on a key input, the one I remember was pressing enter to come out of T/C....BTW I never go above 275 when using T/C. Other times the game was running fine and bang....CTD. They are few and far between and I just keep saving the game on a regular basis.

I will make a note of any I get from now on, when they occured and what I was doing at the time an see if there is a pattern to them.

Cheers for your help. :salute:

Hi! It's a bit tricky process to explain, but I made the correct flag some time ago and sent it to Trevally, so maybe he'll add it soon with some patch (unless he is still hunting aliens in xcom!).

Rats, the doomsday prophets thwarted again! No worries though, if we do wake up on the 22nd they'll just pick a new date! :har:

I tried setting a custom mission on 21/12/2012. Instant ctd and HD failure... :dead:
