She will be given hell for this stunt.

And she probably needs a new job afterwards. If she gets one at all.

Putin trying to justify Ukraine invasion by holding 'faux elections', minister warns

James Cleverly told Sky News' Kay Burley the Russian president wanted a "lightning war" to capture Ukraine and quickly install a puppet government, but "that is clearly not working".

In its morning intelligence update, the Ministry of Defence said reports have suggested Russia may seek to stage a referendum in the captured Ukrainian town of Kherson in an attempt to legitimise the area as a "breakaway republic" - similar to Donbas and Crimea.

This individual has more neck than a giraffe.

What does he know about any elections except of course those who's outcomes are already rigged at the beginning.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announces a 35-hour curfew for people in the capital, warning "today is a difficult and dangerous moment"

It comes after Russian air strikes hit residential buildings and a metro station overnight.

Two people were killed in an attack on an apartment block in the city, emergency services say.

Meanwhile, negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian representatives are set to resume.

The UK and the EU unveil more sanctions against Russia, including targeting luxury goods.

It's hoped more people will be able to leave the besieged city of Mariupol today after a successful evacuation operation on Monday.

This animated map shows that the Russians have gotten bogged down pretty early on. Let the animation flow. You see that you do not see much (not much movement on the ground anymore).

Der Spiegel reports:

The Russian aviation authority Rosaviazija has dismissed an employee because of his comments about possible supplies from China to domestic airlines. Valery Kudinov, who is responsible for maintaining the airworthiness of aircraft, was forced to leave, Kommersant newspaper reported Tuesday, citing insiders. This was confirmed to the Reuters news agency from industry circles.

Kudinov had previously made headlines with statements that Russia wanted to source urgently needed parts from Turkey and India. The reason for this, he said, was failed efforts to obtain the aircraft parts from China. Kommersant newspaper quoted Kudinov as saying that he had been fired because he had violated a law by passing on the information. Rosaviazia declined to comment on the matter.

Looks to me like they will create a republic in the south east to act as a buffer zone.

They probably wanted a divison along the Dnjepr. They just cannot get to the Dnejpr, currently at least.

Odessa will become the next grim hotspot of shelling and fighting. The Ukraine in the future has economic troubles if it looses all access to the Black Sea. Its also the HQ of their war navy.

To me it looks as if the Russians were way too optimistic about their capability to orchestrate what I woudl call multiple vector operations. Both their logistics and their command capabilities seem to be incapable to deal with all these many different planned advance vectors simultaneously. Its like coordinating the 8 arms of an octopus with a humanoid brain made to control just two arms and two legs instead. Overload, in other words.

Man, are you meticulous!

:O:

Yeah, translated precisely it would be that. But the point of the joke is the same, so I did not care that much.
