Hello, my.name is Tommy. I am a 29 year old former pawn broker, medic, and journalist.
I've always liked Sims. From first attempting to play Flight Simulator 3.0 on a Tandy 1000, to playing my first sub simulator on a 386 (Silent Service 2, I believe) I became a member on here playing Silent Hunter 3. I remember the hoopla about SH5, bought it nearly day one, and was extremely disappointed in it. I took a long break, life happens, including one instance where a custom pc I built was shorted from a proximal lightning strike. So recently, I finished another custom rig and put on SH5 and carefully installed TWOS, my oh my. I'm studying for water treatment now, but occasionally I look at my flat screen tv and see my U boat chug slowly along in a stormy sea and smile as the music plays. All is well again. :) |

Jerson here.. just recently joined the fleet.. im 23 from the Philippines... been a fan of Subsim games wayback sh3... only now i knew that there is a forum for subsim lovers... im specifically into these games coz I'm also in the field of seafaring... i love the sea!! Hi everyone! My name is Thomas, 23 years old, currently working as IT Support.
I've been a fan of these games since playing Silent Hunter 1 on my dads old pc, barely being able to understand english, and just enjoying pressing the buttons! I didn't start to fully enjoy the series until i bought silent hunter 3, though. The game got way easier when you actually knew what was shown on screen! Yesterday i decided to reinstall Silent Hunter 5, after a looong break, and i can't wait to play it again later today! I'm so happy that these games are kept alive by you guys, it's really nice to see! I'll try and stay active on the forums too! I just tend to forget those things. |
