Pretty accurate in my estimation.
If events carry on to the end of the series as they are currently then the truth will be one bad team beat another that was even worse. AND THAT'S THE TRUTH. |
Agreed. Siddle did bowl well in the last session to pick up 3, but by the same token the batsmen got crossed up with their own footwork and waving the bat around poorly.
Ours were even worse.:88) I blame T20 as it does nothing to teach batsmen how to patiently build up a score and avoid silly wickets like some last night. |
Well it must be many moons since the Cons had such a bad test team :hmm2:
128... oh dear. I agree with TarJak on the T20 angle, the Don would be turning in his grave.
There's currently unofficial talks going on about dropping T20 from the calendar because of a build up of fixtures during the season.
Nice steady start no wicket loss and steadily building up a nice big lead.
I wish we'd got those 15 runs in the first test, I suspect it may be as close as we'll come to a win. :dead:
114-3 at snap time with a nice 50 from Joe Root :yeah:
A lead of 347 at lunch with 7 wickets remaining...I doubt the bookies will give anyone odds on an England second test win now.
Could get a good price on a 3-2 series win for the Aussies though :) |
A few quick wickets after lunch will be a filip to the Aussies. They need to bowl tightly though. Can't see us bridging the gap though with the batting lineup on offer.
You can have Pietersen and Trott for the third test....might make a game of it then :)
Bresnan has gone for 38 but makes amends for his first innings a took a few wickets...they all help.
The lead is now 369 :sunny: |
Tea time and a very nice lead of 403
171-4 at tea and a mighty fine lead of 404
Wonder if we'll declare at a lead of 500 :hmm2: |
