Thats the next thing on my To do list. By request even! About the only thing i can say about the DD/DE's now is that they look great! Of course this is GW we're talkinga bout. We already knew they would be. The old urban legend of GW being just eyecandy are just incredibly off the mark.

About all i can say right now, is that having GWX install the way it does - it's just simply the best way to go about it. I think very few area's of the game have been left untouched.

I played SHIII back when it first came out. Got bored with it (stock version) and just came back to play again. Saw this mod and it looks AWESOME!!!!

Question: should I install 1.1a now...or wait for 2.0 to come out.

Me personally i would wait for GWX mate...as you can see it is in the beta test phase so not long to wait now :up:

Simply put GWX takes SH3 and makes it a whole new game.
I could spend the next couple of hours listing whats changed and i would only of scratched the surface :up:

One quick question for you Beta Testers:

What resolution are you playing at?

Well there is no way I can play vanilla SH3 anymore. When I had reinstalled a clean version recently for GWX beta, I messed around a bit without anything added and it just wasn't any fun to me.

installing 1.1a is very simple once you've downloaded the bin files and exe file. You just run exe once and you're good to go. If you can get it easily, I'd go ahead and use it until GWX arrives. It's not hard to uninstall/reinstall, so why not.

There is just so much to test that we'll probably be at it for about a month anyway. :yep:

The hard part i find right now, is saying something, without saying too much... thus spoiling the surpise for people.

Now i have said that few areas of the game are untouched, hence defending the installation proceedures. I wasnt very excited about it either, but having viewed it first hand.. this is too massive, there simply isnt any other way to go about it. The GWX team has paid close attention to detail. Even seemingly minor items have been refurbished.

Now as some may recall the dev teams signigure pic, "expand your horizons", well they have most definatly expanded the horizones. I hope it isnt saying to much by saying that people like myself who are really waiting for SH4, may find themselves on the periphery of the pacific and loving it! . :hmm: I can't say any more then that.

I do think the Lend-Lease Ohio Class subs the Britsh have now are a bit over the top, but at least the crew uniforms are snazzy! :rock:
