I find radar depth to be really useful, so I wouldn't support changing that.

Would changing the test depth values of the subs to the actual crush depths work? e.g. change the Balao's 400 ft depth to 600 ft, so you can dive below the red bar in normal dive mode.

The first thing I did when Ducimus nerfed the radar range button was hack it right back. Radar depth is WAY more useful than some insane death dive!

Now, if you could just assign another key to "Death Dive" that would be fine until the day when I accidentally pressed it in high TC and...........

How about control-; so it can't (hehehe brave words there) be pressed accidentally?

Shift +D is not working, D is not working either, have also tried arrow down, Control +D, Alt+D, Control+Alt & Shift+D.

HELP!!

And if this is a RFB why is the depth gauge on a Balao still reading 450ft mx depth? On Balao & Tench class subs the depth gauge Always read 600 ft.

Anyone??

Click the ships wheel icon and select "rig dive planes for deep dive".....(something to that effect...) .....hiy "A" to level off at desired depth.......

So if the sub is designed to go to 600ft you wouldnt go to it if the Japanese are depth charging you and there may be a thermal at 550ft cause that is a insane depth :hmm::hmm:

That kind of thinking is what is insane.

Well....Test depth is test depth and collapse depth is collapse depth.

US subs at the time were designed with a 1.75 margin...Balao class test depth was 400ft......collapse depth was somewhere around 700, with HTS steel that may have increased to 900.....

Patch Update

As I wrote above, we are testing out a new patch right now that corrects a number off issues. One of the problems that has been fixed (and rightly, so - it was a major goof of mine) was re-calibrating the optics (TBT, binoculars, scopes, deck gun) so that the correct field of view is displayed. For instance, here is now a freighter as seen from 1000 yards away:

Big thing right now is trying to hash out where we want to go with environmental mod work - whether to stay with PE4, go with EE5.0, go with a "best of" PE3 and PE4, or stay with PE4 and wait for Kriller and W_Clear's new release.

If I could throw my two cents in for a second, I wouldn't mind waiting for the Dynamic Duo's (Kriller and Clear) project to be completed:yep: It looks to be promiseing!

Sir, there is a rhetorical device you may not have heard about, but with which, I believe, it is time you became familiar. It is called humor. I find you guilty of lack of a sense of humor (and not reading the entire post) and hereby sentence you to find five different forty year old Shelley Berman LP's and listen to each of them at least five times.

When you are done, not only will you talk in a Maxwell Smart-like voice, but you will be funny. Holy crap! There is a Shelley Berman website? This could be easier than I thought! I recommend his album A Personal Appearance, now available on CD. Please hurry. Your condition is terminal!

Hey, what is the key command to go to the conning tower in RFB. cant seem to find it, for example, f2 goes to the command room, is there a keystroke to get me to the conning tower besides clicking on the hatch in the command room?

If you ment humor then I am sorry, I didnt pick up on it, maybe now that I read it knowing humor was meant I see it. Again, sorry, didnt mean to offend, sorry if I did. So I take it that with the current RFB there is No way to dive deeper than the 450 unless somehow we remap a key?

Unless they removed it in RFB like I said before all you need to do is click on the "Rig planes for deep dive" icon. Then you'll go deeper than 450.
