I think your problem is your GPU?
I think the GTX260 is only 1gb?
You need a minimum of 2gb to run TWOS.
My tutorial post has some applications that can help frame rates but, I think you will always have some sort of problem.
I would suggest you edit your post and use a spoiler.

I'm playing with TWOS with HD radeon 4650 1gb and working very good just I used anti lag mod.. no problem... but now watch details of GTX260... and then write my opinion

i think no problem ... just i recommend use anti-lag mod

Okay guys. Sorry about the giant system spec thing. When I get to a pc and can figure out the spoiler thing I'll hide it! Lol.

Anyway anti lag. I'm using the d3d anti lag mod. For settings I have 30fps on the limiter. Render ahead set at 2. May try switching those to 1 on render ahead, and fps limit 25. Thanks for the help mates

If I increased my RAM from 3GB to say perhaps 6 or 8GB would that help any?

SH3 vrs SH5
 

I am an old sea dog using SH3 with GWX for a long time and have been handed a copy of SH5 to have a go with.

My question is is it worth upgrading to SH5 from my current set up? and will it take a lot to get it working properly.

I like the fact that in SH3 I can just go out on a long patrol travel where I like, collecting tonnage. I dont want to loose that freedom by having to play campaigns, something I dont enjoy.


I am using a HP Pavilion (AMD A8 with Radeon Graphics).

Hi Big-Geoff but you can play with sh3 and sh5...I have both I like play with sh5 TWoS beautiful mod and with real nav and enigma mod is super immersive ..but sh3 is It is like the first love you never forget ... :)

hi,

i am completely new to silent hunter and modding.
just went through the step by step process installing sh5 WOS Megamod,
great stuff and plausible (even for me) :up:

-got the steam version (1.2.0), but when starting the game
via steam it tells me: files are missing

so i tried one of the modded .exe files from the sh5 folder:
sh5_patched.exe ; it launches via uplay only
and everything looked ok so far, except that there appears
a big black screen on the left upper side of my monitor, which i am unable to close.

:hmmm: how to deal with this?
