Great, so it was me. :lol:
edit: I tried moving the crewman around. It affecta the engine room efficiency, not the CR. It doesn't just look like they are in the engine room, they actually are. :-? Got another one for you; the Balao does not stay at 25ft/decks awash depth. It gets there, and slowly continues to surface untill eventually fully surfaced. This almost got me killed a couple of times because I was more visible or making more speed then I expected while stalking a torpedoed ship untill she went down. :shifty: |
Is anyone else having a problem where you cannot lock the periscope onto a target farther than about 2500 yds? I don't know what's going on, I can see the target clearly, but I can't lock on to get a stadimeter reading.

All:
An interim patch is in the works that will fix a problem with radar upgrades. As some may have noticed, the surface search radar will not function correctly wihout air search radar also installed. The problem has been corrected and will be released as soon as is possible. |

Yeah Luke, I figured it out. There is a typo in the PatrolObjectives.cfg file that comes with RSRD. Check the RSRD thread for more details.

Ran into the same problem on the crew screen as listed above. Running at 1024x768 - and I really dont want to change it. Anyway around this? Happens with the Gar as well.
Edit - also happens with the Porpoise. I have run this at higher res as well - and same issue. What resolution is required to make this work? |
I'm running at 1280x960 and have no probs.

I've run everything from 800x600 to 1280x1024 (which is my standard desktop res) on the outside - tried the choices inside and it seems that my external resolution is being kept in game - 800x600 actually works better and things line up closer than if I go with a higher resolution. What in the world???
Works fine stock - so its something mod related. I am running 1.52 along with RSRDC for 1.52 - activated after RFB. Those are the only 2 mods. Any ideas? Edit - 2 other notes. On the crew management screen - I cant get to the lowest crew slots (looks to be my aa gun) because the dials are in the way. Meaning I cant put people in the guns.... Not good. Also - what the devil is "hogan's alley" - for some reason there is no readme in this thing (or was I a knucklehead and deleted it?) - I now have a crew section I have no idea what its for..... |
RFB peri fix
Hi all i am going to install RFB for the first time ......i havent played SH4 1.5 for at least 4 months and i have just got a kick ass PC.
My last Sh4 1.5 i played had TMO 1.52 PE and RSRDC. I have heard that there is a periscope problem in RFB that you cannot calibrat the distance correctly... I have DL the lateset ver of RFB and the Patch plus RSRDC PE is i here and read fully integregated......into this mod do i need to apply the fix that is posted in this forum for the periscop or do i wait for RFB team to relase with there radar fix ....... very nervous running a differant super mod ........:) |

Yeah I get the same problems too.
Hitting Numpad [.] will take away the game UI, so you can put men on the AA guns. It seems RFB added more crew slots than the game was designed to have, so there's some overflow in the compartments. Increasing the resolution doesn't help because it just scales up the 2d graphics instead of spreading things out more. |
