I had this done twice for the CT scan. Did they bother to have you sign a waiver stating that some people do not react well to the dye and well, you may not make it through? The stuff gives you a cool feeling and it is amazing how fast it coursed through you body. With in seconds!

They do their best to cover their butts if you know what I mean?! Kind of like sign your life away for real not like buying a house! :rotfl:

But they almost screwed up once a long while back. Glad I was awake to hear what they wanted to do. When I had my last stroke they wanted to do a brain scan with that big machine um damm can't remember the name but if I hadn't stoped them they would have ripped the pacemaker right out of my chest during the scan.

Leovampire, just wanted to report that I'm getting a real bad flashing of the sea. The conditions are 15 mps winds but no precipitation. The sky is starting to clear after several days of thunder storms. There is no thunder and when I pan my view up at the sky I don't see the flashing, only when I look at the sea. I'm using all of ROW that is 1.4 compatible including high-rez sea foam, but no camera mods. It's constant and somewhat fast like a strobe light.

I'm using a Radeon x1950 Pro card with 7.11 drivers. I'm using 2xFSAA but no AF. No overclocking. If you need any further info, just let me know.

Yeah, those HUGE elecromagnets in those MRI machines would have ruined your day. You would have looked like that guy in Aliens when the alien larve hatched!

Anywhoo, since you are back to work and all ;) could you check out this screenie:

Everything looked great until the sun started going down. At this time of day the seas turn black as oil in spots. My guess this is due to the new 1.4 shaders. Also, as you can see, the sun halo and lense flair isnt working. Any ideas???

Here is my JSGME setup:

Thanks man!!!!!

okay here is the fix for the funnel smoke problem

That people reported and didn't like. I lowered the wind coef close to the original work I did for them. Should be just fine now.

#6a ROW_Special_Effects_with_Stock_zonesfile_vs_5a Nothing other than ROW textures is needed with this due to fire, smoke and oil slik texture dependancy.
This has been made 1.4 compatable due to changes in the zone's file with patch 1.4 changes. New Smoke effects also included. You can not use the NSM ship's with this! NSM changes the internal compartments of the ships and change the zone's file! 1.4 Compatable Posted on 12/20/07 This includes all slow smoke adjustments from much earlier mod's created.

I know it is a pain but again sugest your in port to add this to your game.

leovampire 12-20-07 09:28 PM

That is exactly what I saw in my own game and asked if anyone else saw it.

Just about the ocean though not about the sun flair. I do not have a sun flair problem in my game so i can not fix what dosn;t happen to me. I will and am looking into the ocean effect that seems to only happen at the higher wind states.

I do not use radeon cards so I might be at a loss to help you out. But a pic may help in tracking down a fix.

CRAP! Damn ATI 1950 again! Well even a miracle worker like you cannot fix stupid ATI! This is the last time I buy a card that seems like a "good deal".

Thanks again for looking into the high wind/sea state goofiness. I am looking forward to the fix.

Leovampire, I just noticed that I was still using Object Reflections version 4, so I updated to 5b and went back in the game at the same save point and there is no flashing. Oh, I also switched to Jaketoox sea foam because the high-rez is pretty tough on my PC. I also have a question about the color of the sea during high winds, so I'm going to go back in and take a screen shot and post it here. Be right back.

letterboy1 12-20-07 09:58 PM

Leovampire,
here is a screenshot of the ocean and you can see the weather conditions listed at the top. Is this how it looks for you? It looks kind of metalic to me.

I also included a screenshot of my JSGME enabled mods; notice I am using the older special effects so I can still use NSM 3.3 while Werner Sobe works on version 4.

The object reflections is 5b.

leovampire 12-20-07 10:01 PM

I am looking into it since I noticed it in my own game as well.

Might be something I did to the scene file. That file can be very touchy at times. If you go beyond a numericle value the file accepts you can screw it up permanantly with the mini tweeker program.

I might have to make a new one from scratch again. Not sure have to investigate further.

The ocean problem is either the scene file it's self or a new 1.4 shader file that is affecting my new work. I just have to figure out which is the culprit.

letterboy1 12-20-07 10:15 PM

Thanks Leovampire. Just knowing it's not necessarily my own PC is a comfort.

Well, I'm all tired out from SH4 after about a 3 hour session and one Maru to show for it. Have a good evening!:D

Yeah, when I was in med school we had a patient die in the MRI after some numb nuts brought an oxygen tank (not the MRI-okay aluminum type) into there. Gotta be really careful in there =)

Good to see you back on the boards, Dave. Hope the ticker is doing alright.

:o

I would not want to be that guy that made that Boo Boo!

It is quiet and not bothering me so far so that is cool but thanks for asking anyways. And it is good to be back as well.

I told the Doc's to stop telling me how bad it is as I just don't want to know anymore. So as long as I wake up I am happy and feel fine.

Besides I seem to know when something is wrong before they do anyways so I would rather go by my own experience with all of this now. I just do what they say and take what they give me and deal with it all from there.
