Your "gas to operate, diesel to motivate" hint; and my previous foto-post of one early-on in the Ukraine thread: put paid a speedy solution. I cannot fathom being a Russian conscript and going into battle with these units in my rear...hardly conducive to good morale imho?!! Much less proof positive of the Einsatzgruppen intent to murder civilians and coverup the evidence...since the invasion was allegedly planned as a three-day flower-strewn "liberation" with minimal casualties...??:o I'll have something devious shortly.

BINGO! with 3 different hull designations during its long carreer; big hint the high-school dropout seen on the helm in 1977, known as "Beak" to his shipmates, was trained in helmsmanship by me:up: in the summer of '69 on a small lake in northern Minnesota! :arrgh!:

Bingo and over to U!:Kaleun_Salute: The the man at the wheel is my baby brother at his station. As a an eleven year old, he was a camper at a Y-camp where I taught sailing, canoeing, swimming, horse-back riding and was the rowboat director of the camp!
