Ah, we don't put double yellow lines along the side of the road here. At least I've never seen it, we save it for the center of the road indicating where you cannot cross.

Yeah, it's a British thing, I don't think anywhere else does it, except for some of our old outposts like Hong Kong, Mauritius or Singapore. :yep:

We also use those 'DO NOT CROSS' mid-road markings here in the UK :yep:

I joined this section once to enhance my promotion prospects but soon got sickened by the tricks I saw pulled and went back to local vehicle patrols :nope:

The easiest 'pinch' in the UK are those motorists who are ligit and have registered their vehicle as per the lawful requirement.

They are also the easiest ally an officer will ever have little problem in turning into a foe.

Concentrate on the criminal tendency....those who prey on the innocent, that was one of my morals and I reckon I adhered to that principle pretty well.

As long as it has a recent technicians certificate stating it is calibrated and tested regularly.

That site give a small insight into how there is a rule for official vehicles yet a different one for joe public/motorist.
