Lessons from the whole Quran episode
(CNN) -- When Terry Jones, a Florida pastor, announced his plan to burn Qurans on 9/11 with a tweet and an "International Burn a Koran Day" page on Facebook, he ignited an international conflagration of outrage.
As news spread, worldwide condemnation and anxiety mounted. At least two people died in a demonstration in Afghanistan. It seemed this obscure self-proclaimed pastor in Gainesville, Florida, was determined to carry out an action of catastrophic global consequences. U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates even called him. Jones finally changed his mind. http://edition.cnn.com/2010/OPINION/...ex.html?hpt=C1 Note: September 14, 2010 Updated 1858 GMT |

You yourself represent the most dangerous type that we have in Europe. Your kind is responsible for all the misery that will follow, those lifes that will be lost will be also on your head. We are headed for times of civil strife and wars in Europe, the most bloodiest type of conflict there is. It has also potential to become a larger conflict between cultural spheres. All because of your indoctrination and blind belief in the revolution and bringing down the nation states. |

Police fire warning shots to disperse anti-Quran-burning protest in Afghan capital
KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — Police have fired warning shots to disperse hundreds of stone-hurling Afghans protesting once-planned Quran burning in the U.S.
Up to 800 protesters gathered Wednesday at a square on the outskirts of Kabul chanting "death to America" and listening to fiery speeches from Muslim clerics demanding the ouster of the Afghan government and calling for foreign troops to leave the country. The protesters burned tires and hurled stones at the police. They responded with machine-gun fire into the air. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2010/09...fghan-capital/ Note:Published September 15, 2010 |

City plans to bill pastor for security around planned Quran burning
Orlando, Florida (CNN) -- The city of Gainesville, Florida, plans to send a bill estimated at more than $180,000 to Pastor Terry Jones for security costs surrounding his controversial threat to burn Qurans on the anniversary of the September, 11, 2001, attacks, a police spokeswoman said Friday.
Police agencies spent more than a month working on security plans to ensure the community surrounding Jones' Dove World Outreach Center -- the planned site of the burning -- was safe, according to Gainesville police spokeswoman Cpl. Tscharna Senn. Jones also told authorities he received numerous death threats because of the planned protest, which he called off amid increasing pressure from world leaders. http://edition.cnn.com/2010/US/09/17...tor/index.html Note:September 17, 2010 Updated 1915 GMT |

Sending a bill for security? That's BS.

May as well bill him. Same happens to people who start a wildfire whether they intended to or not.
