No communication and from what I can see, complete contempt for the paying public

Here here, Iam trying so hard, and willing for my better to keep disciplined, to such a manner of calm. :damn: Afterall i am gratefull a patch is still being made. :yeah:

But I think the complaining is about release dates, and how they should be kept. I don't think that's much to complain about though.
Never trust release dates, about anything...

:agree: As much as Im ticked at UBI about releasing this sim half done...if they fix all the game stoppers, and most of the minor bugs...then fine. They can take another month for all I care.

Now if they need more time because they put 1 person part time on this, and the patch will only fix MAJOR bugs....shame on UBI.

i.... want...patch!!!!
its sounds like now im looking patch relase dates more than game relase dates...
thanks ubi... is it me..or this is wrong

I agree with you , but i dont understand we have to find out from the german forum that the patch was delayed on the release day? I mean its not even on there official site. Why this secrecy? I never felt this far away as a customer from a company ever before. I know many company,s would be out of business if they had the same non-communication policy UBI has. Really i thinks its way over the top. It makes me feel i,m actually working for them insted of paying there salery,s in the end. Or i could just simply say i,m not being treated like a customer should.

CutMe 04-20-10 10:07 AM

NOT AGREED AT ALL

if they say a date! it must relase without any stupid things!!!

if they cant.. dont give a date!!!

i.... want...patch!!!!

JCC

Obviously some people do, in fact judging by the flooding of "patch" posts, a lot do! Falsely, might i add.

and now they are playing with us!!!!

I'm sure they had the best intentions about giving a date of release....so they should apologise for giving out this date and rescind immediately?
And i think they have better things to do than play with their gaming customers! Seriously...

Stop giving release dates , simple.

As indicated above, bad Ubisoft (?) for giving a release date and then having to push that back because as J.C.C. said it wasn't obviously ready for release.
NOT bad Ubisoft.

Stop the flaming people, it's a fact of life, patch is late coming, deal with it.
Patience is a virtue.
How many other games out there based on different genres have had patches delayed, and worse, not released at all.
Be thankful that you are even getting a patch update at all!

Both Subsim.com and the Ubi forums are already full of clever posters talking about how the new patch will probably be full of new bugs. So when they take some extra time to try to make sure this doesn't happen what is the reaction? People start complaining that they can't get a patch that clearly wasn't ready for release.

You can't have it both ways people. Either you can roast Ubisoft for rushing the game out in an incomplete fashion, or you can roast them for not rushing out a patch that would be in the same condition. Which is it?

Think it over and get back to me.

JCC

:agree:

There's no pleasing some people. No wonder Ubi stays silent on a lot of things.

Um, I doubt they've even lifted a finger to address this game. I think MANY folks are going to be sorely disappointed with this so called patch when, if ever, it gets submitted. IMHO, they basically forgot that they had to submit a patch for this game today and haven't done squat to resolve any of the game's issues. They have already delayed on this patch before. I'm expecting a whole new game at this point. Enough is enough! :arrgh!: When it smells like a turd and it looks like a turd - you have to finally man up and call it like it is - It's a turd!

I'm jumping ship at this point. UBI has let me down too many times and I'm sick of it. I was planning on buying Splinter Cell: Conviction but after reading some reviews on it and seeing that it too has this shoddy DRM also, forget it. UBI is no longer the company it used to be. It's one of the worst.

BTW, from the reviews on SC: Conviction - it's just as bad as Double Agent was. There are some new features (dumbed down made for consoles features IMO) but most of the good ones are gone. Bad guys find dead bodies and don't do anything about it. Retarded!

CutMe 04-20-10 10:14 AM

Big patch lie

OK guys... i know this is funny but i was thinking about this.....

MAYBE NO PATCHES AT ALL... they lied :rotfl2:

It's not secrecy, it's incompetence. There's simply no English language support for Silent Hunter 5. There's one part time moderator on the official forums, occasional visits from UK forum managers but they don't have any information and then the community director who has posted 4 times since the game came out, not one of the points on time. The UK web team isn't bad, the US web team are fools, and there's no forum team like the German forums have.

My bet is that the patch is being delayed due to the Russian language translation thing they added at the last moment.

of course... they have NO face to talk!!!! have they?

Ragtag 04-20-10 10:19 AM

Some people should really wake up and smell the horses ass. Get off your high horse and take a step into the world were everyone else is.
90% of those who buys games doesn't hang around in forums using mods or anything else fixing or alternating the game. SH5 has core issues within the game and customers should not have to wait months to use a product. It's that simple.
