Monsieur chief inspecteur Clousot of ze Surete in Panzer I, :|\\

this will be very hard for you as i am a well known battle beaten Tank commander and the bearer of the purple crutches. The highest award for tank battles.

Sorry man what does mean riduh, i had only 3 years of french but this is over 20 years ago:haha:

If you mean a ride, no problem but only as a loader.

The Purple Crutches

The coveted Purple Crutch?

Excerpt from the Deustsche wochenschau July 8th 1943

" In the East our forces are still battling strong concentrations of Bolschevik armour and infantry near Orel. According to Wehrmachtsbericht 1355 , General Paul Hausser today awarded the Purple Crutches to Hauptstuermfuehrer LC Summers for his heroic action against an enemy tank in the Pinsk-Panteryii sector. During an offensive action Hauptstuermfuehrer´s Tiger, disabled, was heading back to the safety of our lines when suddenly a T34 was sighted at 700 metres.Out of ammunition our Tiger was helpless when in a moment of inspiration Hauptstuermfuehrer Summers ordered his gunner, gefreiter Frinik, to load the 88mm gun with one of his crutches. The shot hit the Bolchevik tank right where the driver hatch was open striking the enemy driver on the forehead.Stunned, the driver lost control of the T34 which then crashed into a ditch. Then Hauptstuermfuehrer Summers hopped out of his Tiger and with his remaining crutch proceeded to beat senseless the Bolchevik crew which was captured along with the tank. Upon hearing this magnificent deed of heroism our Fuehrer commented that " Hauptstuermfuehrer Summers is a fine example of our National Socialist youth superiority and it´s only a matter of time before the Asiatic-Bolschevik hordes are pushed back beyond the Urals.". In other news....

End of newsreel.

Cheers

Frinic, thats very good. You re frinastic

If you allow it, i will copy this text and print it and then put it into a picture frame. And if i get your logo, sur i will copy it into this text.
You really welcome a fine Kamerad.

But i must say, after this fight, you are no longer an SS Sturmmann you are promoted to Untersturmführer and recieve a new pink Tiger I tank (with our Batallion logo) as Commander.

Congratulations

LC

Zankyooo!

Thank you very kindly Herr Hauptstuermfuehrer Summers. I am deeply flattered by the promotion and I will glady accept an assignement with Signal, Das SchwarzeKorps or our propagandastaffel somewhere in say Italy or Greece?:D

As for the pink panzer I'd rather take a pink mercedes to drive to Greece or Italy.

Lc I am glad you liked it and do what you want with it my man it's yours to keep!

Cheers

Frinic just a suggestion,

its better to leave your pink Mercedes and crawl into a Tiger. Greece is too dangerous today, too much rumour. In a pink Tiger your well protected even if the greek folks are attacking you with crutches.

Youre Mercedes wont survive it.

I have to leave and warm up my Tigers engine. Tomorrow my tank has to be in a perfect condition. Hope to put "our" logo on it.

Thank you again for my award, i am searching a fine background.

Cheers

See you all on the battlefield!

Tomorrow is Summerstime Lc!:woot:

In the report I made a couple of mistakes.Gefreiter is a Wehrmacht rank not of the Waffen SS( I don't know the equivalent) and the wochenschau was a newsreel not a newscast but I guess you can take liberty with history at times!

See you all on the Battlefield tomorrow!

YES TODAY IS SUMMERTIME!!!!!

YOU WERE an SS Sturmmann but promoted to Untersturmführer.

You know i was in La Gleize so i was fascinated with the 101 st SS Regiment which took part in the Wacht am Rhein offensive.

Before that it didnt interst me (SS Ranks). But as i wanted to find out who drove that Tiger II and were it was abondoned i had to search for the SS Ranks.

Cheers LC

Release of Missions

Hi Zee Your plan to release missions one at a time is a good idea.
It must be a hell of a lot of work for you and to find, after sending out a batch of missions in a campaign to maybe find a few diverse problems (I mean what works for one member might not for another and vice-versa!!) which means constant re-working as a batch.

I always take the view it's ready when it's ready; and from what you say (and you've been as good as your word) you're very close to completion. So it's far better to have you happy with your release becaus if you're happy then we must be 99% there.
The rest will be some minor things to sort - there always is as everybody's hardware is different. :salute:

One question will the missions appear as a linear campaign once they are released ? I assume they will appear like the current missions do but maybe under a Kursk menu. You made suggestions earlier but you may have revised your idea. Whatever you do is fine by me just interested.
All the Best - Mort :yeah:

Thanks Mort, and yes the Kursk missions will have a start July5-43 and
a end maybe after July13-43 or perhaps Aug3-43 the Soviet Counter
Offensive around Tomarovka.:hmmm:
But right now all hinges on the FPS issue. Once I am confident that I can add more objects to the current Kursk release I can make some solid decisions on what direction to take - I do have a plan B.

Best Regards Mort and a Congratulations for your daughter.

Got it Thanks Zee but

Hi Zee Thanks for the D/L
I installed OK (well it installed fine) but when I started; nothing but the Project Logo followed by Critical Error message. We've seen it before but it's new to me, it is specifically:

(Script Manager) Duplicate class "CCM1Atmosphere" definition.

Could be a duplicate file, the frustrating thing is I'd love to fix it but have'nt got time now as its late and I travell tomorrow so all the best guys I'll have to sort it when I get home in 2 weeks sob sob :wah:

At least I'll be a survivor (by default) until then. I would be much happier dying at Kursk though!!!!!

All the best for now
Mort
