Dead Like Me.
Meet Georgia Lass (who prefers to be called George). She is a young Seattle college dropout who is unhappy with life. She is always at odds with her mom, Joy. One day coming back from her temp job as a filing clerk, she is hit by the toilet seat of the re-entering Space Station Mir. Finding out she is now dead, she is recruited to become a grim reaper. As in life, she is a pain in the butt in death. She does not like the details of her job, and is always at loggerheads with her boss Rube. Her fellow grim reapers don't really take much of a liking to her either. She also learns grim reapers don't even get a free ride in death, as they must hold down regular jobs along with their death duties. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNHDFf1YLlc It's not a great series and it's not a bad one either, could that possibly be the twilight zone it's in then?, no, no, no it isn't, it's the grey zone, a place where you can't make your mind up whether you like it or not, but you keep on watching it. The creator of the show left after 5 episodes as he said management were sticking their noses in where they didn't belong and that's why it only lasted 2 seasons. It's supposed to be a comedy drama, really, I didn't see much of that, and the drama, well lets just say they tried but they effed that up as well, it's rating time so I'll be kind to it even though it doesn't really deserve it. Series Rating 5.5\10. The top end of Average, my, my I have been kind. |

I've only seen a few episodes, but that was enough. I'm not into Murder Mysteries/Whodunits whatever, they're more for women. The series has been going for nearly 30? years and at last count? had 142 !!!!! episodes. It's set in the picturesque :) English County of Midsomer, very pretty. I don't know how many people live there but by golly they're bloodthirsty. About 150 murders in nearly 30 years in a small? picturesque village. Jesus Christ, I thought I lived in a dangerous area. Midsomer gives Medelin Columbia or Drug Cartel Mexico a run for their money :dead::dead::dead::dead::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: |

Now, you can binge-watch The Prisoner whenever you have some free time. :yeah: Of course, this depends on how long the link stays stable but its been up for a while :hmmm: and this will run the entire series in order. Over and over and over again. :Kaleun_Applaud: Also, of course, this is the entire run of The Prisoner and not all of the episodes are ,shall we say, brilliant. :o Patrick didn't have an iron grip on every episode. Still, there are some stand-outs. Check out episode 113, "Don't forsake me, oh my darling" for some truly mind-bending entertainment. :D |
Already unviewable.

American Primeval
It follows the gritty and adventurous exploration of the birth of the American West, the violent collisions of cults, religion, and men and women fighting for control of the new world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8WMvCrywYg Woohoo, I've watched the first episode and it ended with a bang, what a great opening to a mini series, acting was ok, script was the same, a gritty tale of life in the American west, I can well believe that things depicted in the show happened in those times. TV 1st Episode Rating 7.5\10 The lovely Betty Gilpin plays a huge role in this series and it's about time too. |
The sex lives of college girls.
Four 18-year-old freshman roommates at Essex College in Vermont. A bundle of contradictions and hormones, these sexually active college girls are equal parts lovable and infuriating. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgQ-ugHEhiA Not my review. Quote:
Series Rating 5\10 I'm sure any teenagers in your household will enjoy watching this series but, I spent a lot of time making cups of tea and cringing at it. |
Earth Abides 2024
After months of isolation, Isherwood Ish Williams, learns that most of the world has fallen to a mysterious illness Yet despite his instincts to further isolate, Ish leads the charge to develop a new civilization. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljLVhUwfdZw Not My Review. Ish is a geologist, and within minutes of the premiere, he’s bitten on the hand by a rattlesnake. He manages to suck out enough venom to survive but ends up unconscious at home for days. When he finally wakes up, he gradually discovers that nearly everyone is dead. A fast-moving pandemic wiped out humanity. Apparently, skepticism stemming from overreactions to the previous pandemic led people to dismiss the real danger this time. Hmm. Series Rating 5\10 I watched the first 2 episodes of 6, a lot of bollocks is involved with the series, Rattlesnake bite, cut the wound open and suck the venom out is so 1950's TV I almost turned it off, but I stayed with it and I'll watch all 6 episodes to the end. There's a lot more bollocks in the 2nd episode as well so I think it'll continue as it started, only good thing about it is there are no Zombies, although I suspect a lot of couch potatoes will watch it. |
Electric Dreams (2017)
The Hood Maker "Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams" is a 10-episode science-fiction anthology series that journeys into unique worlds beyond the reach of the imagination. Based on short stories written by Dick, each stand-alone episode is inspired by a different story, adapted by a team of leading British and American writers. The all-star cast changes with each episode and includes Bryan Cranston, Steve Buscemi, Greg Kinnear, Timothy Spall and Anna Paquin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSzenLCIsBg We all have those moments when you have a feeling something is about to happen, and it does, this show is very similar to "The Black Mirror" series so I wont be revealing anything as it would spoil everything. The first episode looks into a world of Telepaths and normal humans, no one would like their inner thoughts being read by the police or government so someone invented a mask to block out any telepathic thoughts when you wore one. It's a pretty simple first episode, use a telepath to find out who "The Hood Maker" is and, where they are making them, there's always a twist to these tales and this one is no exception. First Episode Rating, 6\10. The first rung of Good, I always did like these programmes so I'll always give them a decent rating. |

She was great as Gidget, but superb as...."The Flying Nun" :arrgh!: Based on a true story. :yep: I actually enjoyed this when it was first screened .....till I heard the dark rumours....Turns out a lot of the early UFO sightings were actually nuns flying around, and the Air Force inadvertently shot a few of them down....big cover up :yep::o |

just laughs. UFN's. Unidentified flying Nun's :) I have always been afraid of NUN's since watching the Blue brothers with Dan Akroyd and the late John Belushi. :D This was the Series with a young Sally Fields when she was just starting out. :yep: We have a retro station on cable that features The Rockford files, Barney Miller, Taxi, Beretta and Starsky and Hutch among many others. My grandfather called them Husky and Starch. :haha: |
