Well, it happened again. I picked up four Hopping Hare and what I thought were four Golden Champion, not noticing that one label was a tad different.

Different checkout person but same result as last time....thank you for the four pounds in vouchers.

This is starting to become a little embarrassing

I drank the odd one out last night

"Shipyard" American IPA

£1.83 at ASDA; 5% ABV

Sweet and hoppy IPA with plenty of aroma and flavour

Jimbuna 07-08-18 07:48 AM

£1.83 you must be a wealthy individual!!

I stick to the four for £6 varieties.

Desparately seeking these two below but can't source either in the local supermarkets.

Tonights offering.

Only ever brewed under a full lunar moon, with crystal malts and sovereign hops for a rich, smooth sublimely satisfying taste of pure beer indulgence.

(Three times over :haha:)

And I'm always pleased when she brings back a bottle of Old Crafty Hen, too.... another very strong ale

Jimbuna 07-12-18 05:47 AM

It would appear the old hen wasn't 'crafty' enough....England lost :shifty:

My father-in-law has got tons of it... all in cans, though

From ASDA's four-for-£6.00 deal

Two amber ales with much hoppiness and strong bitter flavour; very similar to one another in most respects, I thought

Eichhörnchen 07-20-18 12:10 AM

Has anyone tried this?

Nope, never seen it before.

CHARLIE WELLS TRIPLE HOP IPA

These IPAs are often so similarly excellent that it's hard to differentiate. Charlie Wells is nice and hoppy, sweet and strong (5.2%)

WHARFE BEER YORKSHIRE IPA

This, however, is different enough for comment: good and bitter with an identifiable alcoholic note. (5.1% ABV)
