Great result beating Spurs 1-0 yesterday :yeah:
Best I don't mention the cricket :) |
Yeah it was a really positive result.
I had a little hope for a draw. Markus |
Fantastic result for Toon yeah. I watched the match, and although I give potato head a lot of grief, credit where credit is due. Newcastle looked cohesive and organized and showed fight and resolve. I pegged them to go down, but more performances like that will keep them in the top flight.
Despite that, Spurs were listless and devoid of any sort of creativity until Eriksen came on. It could be a long season in that gleaming new palace for Tottenham. |
No mention of Stokes heroics in the third test? :hmmm:
:03: |
So sad at losing Bury F.C and Bolton could soon follow.
I suspect there are more clubs near to that above. |
TOON drew 1-1 with Leicester last night then lost the penalty shootout 4-2 but the lads put in a good performance so hopefully the weekend game against Watford (the only team currently below us) will bring with it a better result.

1946 Newcastle United equals English Football League record for biggest winning margin in a 13-0 thrashing of Newport in a Division 2 match at St. James' Park; Len Shackleton scores 6, Charlie Wayman 4 for the Toon.

After a long time I could change channel after the match with a big smile on my face.
Hope this win have given them some confidence Markus |
I remain ever the optimist Markus :03:

A football related question
Is this word Manure used by the TOON's fans as as a substitute for Man. U Sorry I could not help laughing when I saw the word. Markus |
Quite correct, it does not sound so harsh as the human equivalent but the meaning is the same :03:
|
Watched Southampton v Leicester City on tv last night and was astonished to see City thrash them by a nine goal margin making the result the biggest for an away team in Premier League history.
Perez and Vardy both contributed a hat trick each...amazing game. |
TOON very lucky to get a 1-1 draw against Wolves despite taking the lead.
Too many players underperforming and a manager who is tactically clueless. |
Leeds Utd beat the Smoggies (Mackems) 4-0 on Saturday we are sitting spiffy at the top of the Championship atm but hope its not ground hog day a rerun of last season running out of steam and just making the numbers up in the playoffs
