Well, I can certainly see why live reports from The Commons and Westminster would be newsworthy. But nothing interesting ever happens in Shorlty, unless you count the time the old widow Higgins wandered into the high street at tea time wearing nothing but an apron and two live weasels.
Seriously, though, this sort of thing is quickly becoming a major annoyance here locally. If they want to run three different feeds of info across the bottom of my screen, the least they could do is mind their spelling and grammar and try to write news blurbs that actually make some kind of sense.
The worst part is that the same error-laden blurbs cycle across the screen over and over again through the entire news broadcast and either nobody there is paying attention to them or they just don't care enough to correct their mistakes.
