Dave - its amazing... We sit here and worry about your health, and your already arms deep in 1.4 - well my friend all I can say is take it slow and easy, do what you feel like doing, continue to live your life - and we will enjoy the gains your talent creates.

Regardless of further mods, many here are just pleased to call you a fellow sailor, or in pirate lingo - me hearty. So to you my friend, and to continued life - I raise a glass!

You wouldn't believe the dreams I had and have everytime I sleep about this game and the things I would love to see and do to it!

I love to learn new things and apply my idea's and this is the best way to explore the posabilities.

welcome back leo and wish u good health, well my creation is almost complete i just ordered a 37 inch westy 1080p monitor for my beast of i desktop i built back here in the states should have her thur or friday, ahahha cant wait to take to the seas with that puppy hahah, anyways sorry for droping out of sonar range for awhile, its been a weird home coming to say the least. When you say they all work, is that starting at the autosave only ? Have you tried something in the Campaign yet ? Maybe a couple of tours and into harbors ?

I started a new campaign...I don't have tried any single mission or simple patrol yet....But yesterday evening I managed to put a torpedo into the stern of a Fuso battlehip (that escaped:damn: ) and I noticed flames coming out from the hole without smoke.....probably this is the particle problems found by Leo.
However, this isn't a huge problem in my view:up:

Glad to see you are home now and starting to feel a bit better. You know trying to get into the Guinness Book of Records via your Health is a hard way to go. No more Heart Problems without filling out a request chit and getting it duly signed by the Department Heads and the XO, ya hear Sailor?

While you were away, I tried running the Stock version of SHIV patched to 1.4 and egads! It seemed as if I was playing the Original Silent Service game. Your work has done an unestimable amount of progress towards making SHIV as immersive and realistic as it has become. Whatever would we do without you Sir? Just remember we have plenty of time and are in no hurry for you to get ROW 1.4 ready. Just take your time and do not tax yourself too much. We will all be here when you are ready, ok?

In adddition to the work Leo is doing, I have created new sounds and re-worked a couple of old ones. So, lots of good stuff is on the way. :yep:

Yep, some of the things coming with this revision are:
  • A couple of slightly re-worked warship sounds, plus totally new ones for the Subchaser, PT Boat and the Minesweeper.
  • New merchant ship sounds.
  • New hydrophone sounds to match the ship engine sounds.
And possibly a couple of other things... :smug:

Hi Dave,

Just catching up and was glad to see you're back. I know you are dedicated to your work but please don't push it. Would rather have you rested, recuperating, and wait longer.

Offer is still out there. Don't know much about the graphic files, but if you'd like to send me a list of text files, or files S3D will access and document the differences from 1.3 to 1.4 for you, just holler.

Hey guys.

I've seen alot of talk here and in the TM thread of "flickering" and I think there are a few different issues. Has anyone else gottten this?

I post this for informational purposes and I am in no way complaining ;)
For the record, this was recorded using TM 1.7 but ROW elements display the exact same. I have tried everything from the lowest resolution w/ all candy off with all driver options ap controled and it stays the same.

It's worth noting that I do not get this with stock 1.4. However the camera in stock does not go high enough to get this.

I'm very curious if anyone else is getting this.
