Kpt. Lehmann 12-23-08 10:50 PM

Just got back from my shift at work. Thanks for the good thoughts guys. I'll be right as rain in time.

(Practically everyone at work is ill so I am in good company there LOL!)

My apologies to all... a few days ago I missed several days of working on the project, so we are racing to make up lost ground. My fault guys.

What it looks like to me is that we will make our release before midnight Christmas Eve U.S. Central Standard Time... IF all remains on target as it is now.

Getting this release together has been rather tough for a number of reasons. (LOL, we thought this release would be easy to pull off.)

My personal thanks go out to those Grey Wolves team members who are giving up time they could be spending with friends and family right now... to see the success of this release through.

~SALUTE!~

Alright. Enough talk. Back to work with us.

Privateer, am hoping to catch you on TS if possible.:arrgh!:

Its hard to put into words just how much respect and the thanks we all here owe to you Greywolves team for giving us this wonderful simulation which has given us all here so many hours of joy and at times sheer terror. Have a great Christmas with your loved one's and again thank you one and all.

Jimbuna, apologies that you were stuck with the unfortunate task of holding the wheel and communicating for me remotely.

@Wildhawke11,

Thanks for your good thoughts. We hope you have a Merry Christmas as well. With all due respect though, we would have no Grey Wolves Project without the Silent Hunter Devs.

We can't do what we do without their work being there first.;)

No problem Kpt....please ensure my efforts are adequately reflected in the January pay check. A few extra pesos would not go amiss

I was going to ask for a % increase in the royalties but I'm not too sure :hmm:

I am sure the Devs are amazed, and happy, at how far their work has come from what was released. Those of us who were around at the beginning know they were rushed to get it out, and could not include, or do everything they wanted to it. What the Grey Wolves team has done is to take a good simulation and make the best it possibly can be. I salute the whole team for their outstanding work on this project.

This is pretty suspenseful - you guys have been holding your cards pretty close to your chest!

Waiting & waiting, with lots of anticipation...:ping: :ping: :ping:

The Grey Wolves team has done - and are even now doing - a fantastic job. You can wonder where we would stand if the Devs had continued in the same pace as the GWT did. An Opensource version of the game would be a dream. Although I'm glad and thankfull enough that we will get the 3.0 version. The best Christmas present I can think of and if they cannot make it this Christmas, well then ... next Christmas :rotfl:

Kpt. Lehmann 12-24-08 12:55 PM

Still on target for release prior to midnight tonight Christmas Eve U.S. Central Standard Time.

(6:00 AM Christmas Day Greenwich Mean Time)

Thank you for the present, I'll be thinking highly of your leadership and the skills of your team this evening!
Sincerely,:yep:

Can't take the suspense much longer...

bigboywooly 12-24-08 06:20 PM

Well in 6 and half hours your wait will be over
:rotfl:

My kids would have had me out of bed ages before that

Wreford-Brown 12-24-08 06:24 PM

This is such a dilemma.

Do I:
a. Go to bed, get a few hours sleep, wake up in the morning and join the download queue.
b. Stay up and face the wrath of the wife but get GWX early.
c. Go to bed but get up every couple of hours to check the computer.
d. Sack GWX for 24 hours, get lots of brownie points for not playing on Christmas Day and hope the download queue has died down on Boxing Day.

a. is sensible, b. will get me into a lot of trouble on Christmas Day, c. will probably get me into even more trouble than a and d. just doesn't seem to be an option at the moment (I can give it up whenever I like...).

I'm guessing that I'm not the only one facing this question tonight.

What DL queue? Heck if you get it from BtS-Mods you won't have to deal with that crap :o That is if Jim here gets the ball rolling for me to link it up :p
