This wonderful mod seems to be working perfectly with GWX apart from one problem and I couldn't find a solution using the forum search so I'm posting here:
After clicking once on the periscope to move it using the mouse, whenever I click again to release the mouse cursor it automatically snaps back to the torpedo depth setting control and sets it to 1m. Even when releasing control of the obs scope or the bridge view or internal free cam the cursor jumps to the same place on the screen although the TDC controls aren't on those views so it doesn't have any effect. I'm running in 1680x1050 widescreen, perhaps that's the problem? If any menu gurus out there could advise me on some basic tweaks to sort this out I'd be very appreciative. It's only a minor gripe but the rest of the mod is so fantastic that I'd love to get it working 100%. Play It Cool, Moog |
I suffer from this as well, but i run in 1600 x 1200.
Any thoughts on curing this would be helpful! regards, Damunn |
Gents (and, er, ladies, if any are reading),
Sorry for my recent lack of support and the absence of the promised 1.1.whatever update. I was busy with RL stuff and then my father was taken into hospital a week ago with chest pains and he had to have a triple bypass, so modding and subsim got temporarily forgotten. He's okay. It'll be interesting to see whether this prompts him to finally change his meat-n-two-cakes diet! That's all for now, OLC |
Glad to see it was caught and he is OK for now. Wish you and your family the best. I know from experience how RL situations like this can go. From my perspective, take the time you need.

I have only two small troubles with "Tac-Disc" or "Attack-Disc" feature: its grade scale is reversed, which means 0 degrees mark is on the "S" and 180 degrees mark is on the "N". It encumbers a little finding target's real course. Also sometimes I can't change settings on the AOB, bearing and speed indicators using mouse. Mission reloading always fixes this bug.
I have tried OLC GUI for GWX 1.03 version. |

Hi, OLC - I'm sorry to hear about your father & am glad that he is recovering from his operation.
I thought there must be a good reason for you to be absent from the great horizontal/vertical/draggable/paper/fuzzy nomograph debate.;) |

I have seen previous whizzwheel version in the OCL's video tutorial. That is why I thought it was some bug. :-? |
What is last version of this mod?

if you have it set to auto, there's a work around for the range, when you click on the little button or screw on the bottom middle right to bring up the controls that tells you the angle and that kind of stuff, well it has a range setting to that will tell you the range but it wont update the range in less you click it off and bring it back up it will update the range for you... if its set for manual shooting than you have to add all the info in yourself. just thought i would tell that in case anyone wants to use this good mod on auto there is a way you can tell the range from the target... i hope your dad is feeling better OLC and everything is fine.. |
if you want to update the TDC with new data (like new range f.ex.), it is better to use the TDC autoupdate function, which can be set in the commands.cfg
i use this button in this way: my tdc is always on autoupdate, i set it to manual mode for entering new data, then i set him back to auto. using it in this way makes for sure that your tdc is updated everytime, you dont need to switch it on and off for updating it. |
