There are certainly many parts of the UK facing the hammer atm...hopefully no fatalities will result.

We also expect a good old storm for this night and tomorrow morning. Funny thing, at 20 of this month it will be a year of a terrible storm that managed to get half the country blown away! |
Brisbane expecting hottest day today since 1940 . 0830 and its already 33.3C .

stormy weather -Lena Horne
Went sailing yesterday as usual with Friday's skipper; 69 degrees-15 knot wind-3 foot swells-Perfect!!!...GWIIIIISSHHHHTTTT...the mainsail shredded out her main luff seams(new sail???) and I, the crew, had to furl ASAP the tattered remains and ta-pokkita in, on a 9.5 Nissan and the jib alone, in a six knot river out-tide. The first two harbor-mates to come alongside to render assistance were two Englishmen, (Brittania RULESBBY) formerly of Falmouth and Liverpool...another pond...separated by a common language! Sent each a six-pack of....from the galley!:03:

Here it is about 5 degrees, and tomorrow is expected to be up to 8 degrees warm, not a bad winter.:o
