LoL not a bad first day for us. Smith bowled well late and interesting to see something for the spinners on day one.

Got to admit he did bowl well, but what a crap shot by Bairstow that ball should have been it that hard it ended at ST Johns Wood tube Station.

Weather should permit a seamless test...plenty of good and interesting cricket ahead.

England should pass the 300 mark but not by much so the Aussie first innings total may well give an early indication of how this match might end.

361 all out oh well I was only 39 runs short.

Some crap bowling by our mob this session. Lets see if the openers can put on a good start to the chase. 361 is gettable on this pitch but we'll have to bat better up the order than we have been recently.

Definately evenly poised at the moment.

Can't say I was overly impressed with the England batting performance in the first innings and 450 is possible on a flat wicket so a tied series at the end of this match is a definite possibility.

Lots of cricket still to go though.
