OK there are WWI planes being made for IL-2.

It is nicknamed Over Oleg's Fields. The models look really good......

Hunter, if I take the picture can I post it here instead of linking to that site?

Yes, you are allowed to show it off in screenshots or videos, so go ahead.

OK here is the Albatross. I think this could work quite well in IL-2...

aw no one has ANYTHING to say about this?

Fincuan 01-22-09 02:34 PM

WW1 is not very high on my list of interests, but at least the name "Over Oleg's Fields" is funny

No doubt I'll give that a try if it's released

Well, I'm with Fin on this one, not really interested in WWI.

HunterICX 01-22-09 03:42 PM

We'll see when it is released, hopefully they include quiet the selection of ww1 aircraft so we can have a weekend fun with them in a Dogfight.
Bi-plane dogfights are the best imo.

There is an AI mod from the place which I am downloading and will try.

I'll report on it and let you know if it is worth getting.

We've been using that in the Leningrad campaign for the last couple of sorties, but I haven't had enough combat to say if it makes a huge difference. The general feeling was that the AI did indeed do less of that "15-barrel rolls whoppee"-thingy and tried more scissors and break turns.

Kptlt. Neuerburg 01-24-09 09:15 PM

I've tryed the AI mod and I like it. I was tired of having the AI just doing barrel rolls, that mod makes the campaign I'm flying a lot harder that what it was, plus using IL-2 Stab to remove the "aircraft nametags" then you get the where'd you go factor too:hmm: .

XabbaRus 01-25-09 05:30 AM

Fin. Hunter never said he had that installed. I assume all people have to be using it or it could have weird results or not maybe?

what are the aircraft nametag things? You mena the icons. You can turn that off in difficulty.

AI mod is now up toV.16
